Individual Instr umental and Sing ing lessons
Pupils who lear n a musical instr ument are scientifically proven to have better cognitive abilities and improved mental health. Those who take this fur ther and perfor m in g roups and ensembles with other s, do even better...
Once in the Prep Sc hool, pupils are at liber ty to take up sing ing or instr umental lessons with our full ar ray of professional musicians.Once prog ress has begun, we also have a full sc hedule of ensembles and c hoir s (as well as a busy perfor mance calendar!) whic h, as well as the benefits listed above, will increase their aural awareness, sight reading skills and general musicianship. Pupils who join a g roup, tend to prog ress muc h faster, so there are oppor tunities for all! For mal music exams are also encouraged for those pupils who meet the necessary requirements with the prog ress.

Dramarama and LAMDA
Specialist perfor mance, speec h and drama lessons are available to pupils from Pre-Prep up to Year 8, star ting with ‘Dramarama’ sessions held in hobbies sessions up to Year 3. These include drama and sing ing games, perfor mance practice, and lots and lots of fun! From Year 4, pupils are able to star t the LAMDA prog ramme, whic h is more exam focused. Year 4 and 5 can join g roup classes on a Monday or Tuesday respectively, at 4.15-5.15pm. Pupils in Year 6 to 8 wishing to take LAMDA lessons will do so on an individual or paired basis timetabled mainly on Fr iday after noons.
