Welcome to the Autumn 2024 issue of Dulux Residential's Home Finish.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Dulux Residential Business Manager to all our existing customers and new customers. For the past 20 years, I have been part of the Dulux Retail division helping our Retail partners grow their business and deliver greater value to the end consumer in and out of store. The opportunity to work with residential new home builders, contractors and our respective field teams to optimise the value and experience for the new home builder is really exciting.

The Dulux Residential team is a consumer-driven and customerfocused division within the Dulux business that prides itself on creating greater value for the builder, contractor and new homeowner. Combined with our portfolio of premium brands, product innovation, manufacturing capability, distribution network and strong consumer brand awareness, we can help optimise the new home buying experience.

In this Autumn edition of Home Finish, we feature our partnership with award-winning Creation Homes who we are delighted to work with and support their NSW business.

Traditional problems with dark colours

Chalking: Exterior paint exposed to direct sunlight can degrade and break down over time. This dusty residue on the surface is called chalking. The darker the colour, the more obvious it is.

Avoid painting again! Lasts up to twice as long as traditional premium exterior paints

Faded colour: Even the brightest and most vivid exterior paint can fade in colour over time. The sun’s rays act as a bleaching agent on the paintwork and gradually saps away the original colour.

Blistering: Dark coloured paint absorbs more radiant heat from direct sunlight and becomes extremely hot. This can cause bubbles and blisters which can burst. Rain and wind will remove the blistered surface, leaving a bare patch on the exterior.
