University Offer Success

We’re delighted to share that all of our Year 13 students have received university offers, including places at some of the UK’s most respected institutions such as Imperial College London, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, and Warwick. The variety of courses they’ll be pursuing is remarkable—spanning Medicine, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, International Management, Fine Art and more.

A special congratulations to Peter and Jamie, who have both received offers to study Medicine—an outstanding achievement given the fierce competition. And a huge well done to Hugo, who will be heading across the Atlantic to the University of Virginia in the USA. We couldn’t be prouder of them all and look forward to seeing what they achieve next!

As of March 2025, Hampton Court House is proud to be listed in The Times’ “10 Top Education Providers to Unlock Your Child’s Potential.” This recognition reflects our commitment to creating an environment where students can thrive academically and personally. It highlights our dedication to nurturing curiosity, confidence and a love of learning, empowering every child to reach their full potential. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and passion of our staff, students and supportive community.

Independent Schools of the Year: Shortlisted

Hampton Court House has been shortlisted for London Independent School of the Year 2024 by Independent School Parent. A big thank you to our staff, Courtiers and parents for your ongoing support—you make HCH a truly inspiring place to learn and grow.

Y10-Y13 History trip to Berlin

Students from Years 10–13 took part in a memorable trip to Berlin, where they explored significant historical sites such as Sachsenhausen concentration camp and the Olympic Stadium. The snowy weather added to the atmosphere, making the experience even more impactful. Visiting these places helped students connect with the past in a way that goes beyond the classroom, encouraging thoughtful reflection on themes like resilience, division, and remembrance. It was a powerful opportunity to see history in context and deepen their understanding of the events that shaped modern Europe.

Arctic trip to Finland

In the final week of Spring term, a group of Year 9 and 10 students travelled to the Arctic Circle for a weeklong expedition in Finland. They learned how to navigate and thrive in extreme conditions through activities like snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, animal tracking, building snow shelters, and leading husky teams. As the week progressed, they planned and led their own overnight expeditions, gaining confidence and teamwork skills. Evening sessions encouraged reflection on personal growth, making it a challenging and rewarding experience for all. The trip left students with lasting memories, a stronger sense of independence, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Madrid Football trip

Our Year 9 and 10 students recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Madrid, immersing themselves in the city’s rich football heritage. They visited two iconic stadiums: the legendary Santiago Bernabéu, home to Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid’s impressive Metropolitano stadium. The highlight of the trip was the chance to train with U15 Real Madrid coaches during three world-class sessions, where our students sharpened their skills and gained invaluable insights into the game. They also witnessed Real Madrid take on Valencia in a thrilling La Liga match, which had title implications.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Our students rose to the challenge in a friendly match against local Spanish opponents, winning 6-2 on a warm Saturday evening. To top off the trip, they enjoyed a fun-filled day at Warner Bros theme park, providing the perfect balance of football and adventure. This experience not only celebrated the sport but also created lasting memories in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

Sixth Form Art and Photography trip

A group of our Sixth Formers visited the Face exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, exploring the magazine’s bold design, striking photography, and lasting influence on youth culture Founded by Nick Logan in 1980, the Face set new standards in visual storytelling. The visit provided our students with a vivid example of how art, design, and media shape and reflect the world around us an inspiring experience that goes beyond the classroom

Spring Recitals

At HCH, music is truly at the heart of our community, and our recent Spring Recitals were a perfect example of this. The two evenings brought together Prep and Senior students, showcasing a diverse range of musical talent—from flutes and guitars to violins, drums, and fantastic choral performances. It was inspiring to see our young musicians shine, demonstrating creativity, confidence and joy in every note.

A big thank you to all of our brilliant young performers for making the magic happen!

A huge well done to all the children from Year 1 to Year 4 for their fantastic work in our very first French drama show! Stepping onto a stage is never easy—and doing so in French, for some of you for the very first time, is truly impressive. You showed great dedication, enthusiasm, and courage, and you should all be very proud. You brought your characters to life with confidence and creativity, and your hard work really paid off. Most importantly, you demonstrated all our school values: creativity, curiosity, courage, compassion, respect, readiness, responsibility and results. What a brilliant achievement!

Science Week at HCH

Science Week at Hampton Court House was a great opportunity for students to explore, experiment, and get hands-on with science. From interactive quizzes to activities with plasma balls, dry ice, and microorganisms, there was plenty to discover. A highlight of the week was the return of a much-loved HCH tradition—the Wonderdome Planetarium— which gave students a fascinating look at space. Newton’s laws were also put to the test in a fun and lively egg parachute experiment.

Prep pupils took part in an engaging assembly led by our Head of Science, Thomas, who also runs our Zoo Club. They learned how animals like snakes see the world, helping to make links between science and the natural world around them. It was a week filled with curiosity, exploration and practical learning that brought science to life across the school.

A celebration of scientific wonder and imagination, inspiring the scientists of tomorrow!

FLAM trip to London Monet exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery

FLAM students enjoyed a day in London discovering the work of Impressionist painters like Monet, Manet, Degas, and Cézanne at the Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House. The visit included quizzes, a walk through the city, and a French-style lunch—finishing with views of the very scenes Monet painted over a century ago. A great day of art, learning and sunshine!

Year 9 students took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Shakespeare’s Globe to watch a live performance of Macbeth. Experiencing the play in this unique and historic setting helped students connect more deeply with the story and its themes, particularly the dangers of ambition and the consequences of power. The actors’ use of space, tone, and movement brought the characters to life and made key moments in the play more impactful. This hands-on experience offered a valuable extension of their classroom learning, showing how Shakespeare’s work was meant to be seen—live and on stage.

Great opportunities for experiential learning that equip students to be curious and question the world around them!
