WELCOME So, you came back, did you? Decided to test your luck one more time, see if you could make it through again? That you managed to chance your way to November after our last little outing was surely a quirk of fate, but we do like to welcome those with a stern stomach and a certain lack of self-preservation…

Welcome to the second Brighton HorrorFest! We are thrilled that you have decided to partake in some of the darker side of theatre that we have on offer. Whether you are looking for a little something to chill the family, or perhaps a more visceral terror for that slightly older audience, or anything in-between, then we shall surely have the phantasmagorical delights for you!

Critical hits from Edinburgh Fringe join us this year, with the sombre moods of ‘Father of Lies’, the (hopefully!) death-defying terror-tinged feats of ‘Adventurers Wanted: Plague’ presenting four new immersive role-playing game experiences, and the interactive spooky joy that is ‘Decide-a-Quest!’

Local favourites, Cast Iron Theatre, return with their annual ‘Hallowe’en Dukeanory’, plus a brand new live podcast and the debut of their new work ‘One-Woman ‘Alien’’ – as the team behind this year’s EdFringe hit, ‘Cacophony’, take on Ridley Scott’s classic sci-fi horror in the way only they could…

Beyond that? Well, TBC Audio ‘(Protect and Survive)’ are back with some discomfiting goings on in ‘The Other 1%,’ break-out Brighton Fringe production, ‘Pickman’s Model’, brings back Lovecraftian frights, and our regular ‘Murder Tours’ bring the darkest moments of Brighton’s history to the stage for your macabre pleasure. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, then join us for some ‘Spooky Tales’, as we whisk you off for a ghostly puppetry workshop for children and their lucky adults!

With much more besides, it is our terrible pleasure to enjoy your company in the everdarkening nights of October. Perhaps we’ll even let you go home for Hallowe’en…

Horrorfest is a work in progress, testing new and horrifically hilarious material in a joint love letter to the classic Choose Your Own Adventure game books and the Horror genre. Cast Iron Theatre return with their ever-popular night of spooky and horrifying short stories read live on stage by local actors and writers. TALKING TO THE DEAD

Join Andrew Allen and Michelle Donkin for the LIVE recording of their podcast! This chat show-like format sees Andrew talking with local theatre-makers and comics about their careers so far, what they’re working on at moment and then attempt to set the world to rights by discussing this months latest news.

In this episode of the podcast we fearlessly dive into the Brighton HorrorFest and take a light-hearted look at all things horror in theatre and the entertainment world beyond (the grave?) There might be some music too...
