Quality DIG was initially founded to manufacture and deliver mock-up rooms for Depa Interiors, its first project being the Al Bustan Rotana. This aspiration to convince even the most meticulous consultant or client is still intrinsic to DIG’s work. The company stays true to the manufacture concept no matter the volume; every single lounge chair, every armoire, every wooden panel is a piece of art by itself and tells its own unique story.

Due to its identity and origin, obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 certification was an easy task for DIG.

Project Assessment Cycle Based on perspectives and original specifications, the proficient DIG engineering team creates detailed shop drawings, working in close cooperation with the nominated interior designers. Feedback loops ensure a common understanding on optimised dimensions, accessories, structures and finishes. Based on the agreed alterations, DIG sources the right materials from its vast global network of suppliers to deliver on quality and value. A sample board presentation guarantees that all parties are content with the final selection. Eventually, the in-house R&D will turn the client’s intent and designer’s vision into a three-dimensional reality. Once sample items are approved, the serial production will start, based on standardised cut-lists and instructions.

Waldorf Astoria RAK Blending the traditions of NYC hospitality with an Arabesque twist, the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah was originally built by the ruler of the emirate. Consequently, space is ubiquitous, in the private as well as in the public areas. To match the opulence without overloading the ambience, designer Hirsch Bedner Associates has mixed upholstered furniture with pastel shades and fresh highlights. DIG provided the FF&E packages, artwork and chandeliers for the luxurious guest rooms as well as the spacious public areas.

One&Only The Palm Boutique hotels represent the hidden gems of hospitality with a very sophisticated and selective target audience, which is not easily satisfied. The One&Only The Palm, DSA Architects and WA International have made the impossible possible, by creating an intimacy based on Moorish Andalusian architecture and contemporary chic interiors. Impeccable furniture and furnishing for 98 guest rooms, six chalets and public areas manufactured by DIG help create a home away from home for the distinguished cosmopolitan travellers who will not settle for anything less than perfect.

Rodeo Grill | Beach Rotana How to interpret a well-known theme – the Wild Wild West – in a modern way, without reinforcing stereotypes? By going purist and monochromatic! DIG was the sparring partner of LWD Interiors in developing and executing the full fit-out, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing [MEP] and civil works, as well as providing the FF&E for the refurbishment of the Rodeo Grill in the Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi. Pure materials and pure colours offered a guideline for DIG’s work, a perfect showcase for the Company’s ability to provide turnkey solutions for F&B outlets and restaurants.

Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights The Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, one of the latest additions to the diversified 5-star hotel landscape of Dubai, gives testimony for how modern and fresh genuine wood can look. Besides the impressive joinery fit-out works, especially in the lobby and main entrance hall, DIG was in charge of providing all FF&E packages for the public areas and 464 guestrooms, including 76 luxurious suites. A major challenge was the wooden pattern design of the public areas, which required attention to detail and precise coordination from planning to manufacturing to the eventual installtion on site.

Conrad Dubai Being the first Conrad property in Dubai, representing the luxurious sub-brand of Hilton Worldwide, the 5-star hotel opened in 2013 in the heart of the city on Sheikh Zayed Road, featuring 555 rooms and suites of contemporary design as well as various F&B venues, such as the Cave, Suga, all-day dining Ballarò, Puro Beach Urban Oasis and Marco Pierre White Grill. Working in close relationship with sister company and fit-out specialist Depa Interiors, DIG provided all joinery items for the guest rooms, public areas as well as for the aforementioned restaurants.

Fairmont Baku at the Flame Towers There is no doubt about it, the iconic Flame Towers Baku is a stellar complex, overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage Site status city centre and port of Baku, Azerbaijan. The hyper-modern building also accommodates an exceptional hotel, the Fairmont Baku, which opened its doors in 2013 to local guests and international travellers, featuring 318 rooms, including 19 serviced apartments, spa and wellness facilities, restaurants and lounges. DIG was commissioned for the FF&E packages and joinery works for the rooms, apartments, public areas and eight F&B outlets.

ITC Grand Chola In terms of hospitality, India is still an emerging market, harbouring huge potential for development. The ITC Grand Chola in Chennai is the country’s third largest hotel development to date, setting new standards in luxury while incorporating traditional themes of the Dravidian architecture of the Chola Dynasty of the Iron Age. Designed by Singapore-based SRSS Architects, the hotel is the ninth Luxury Collection hotel of the Starwood Hotels group. DIG contributed to this outstanding property by supplying FF&E and being in charge of the joinery works for 522 guest rooms, 78 serviced apartments as well as the public areas.

ITC Grand Chola | Chennai, India

Senate Hall, University of King Abdulaziz Established in 1387 H / 1967 G, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah is one of the cornerstones of the Saudi system of higher education. In the country’s continuous effort to improve standards and to support the next generation, it is heavily investing in new and established facilities. The scope of work for Depa Saudi Arabia at the 500 sqm Senate Hall project at KAU comprised of flooring and ceiling work. Sister company DIG provided for the vaulted wooden ceiling as well as the door frames, wall panels and loose furniture.

Doors Door manufacturing at DIG unites functionality with aesthetics, seamlessly. The company is capable of producing fire-resistant timber doors of 30min and 60min integrity [FRTD452 certified]. These can come in many shapes and forms, as specified by the client. The design team of the Conrad Hotel Dubai, for example, opted for a complicated combination of fluted solid wood with stainless steel insertions. The Pullman MoE [now Sheraton], however, chose simple elegance.
