What is the time commitment?

Participants spend ve consecutive days on-campus at the University of Denver and nearby facilities for an intensive, deep-dive into leadership development. Throughout the program will engage in experiential learning and tailored curriculum. The program ends with a graduation ceremony. Lunch is provided each day.

Who should attend the Denver Leadership Experience (DLX)?

This program is tailored for senior leaders leading department, enterprises, or major organizational initiatives. The program requires a 15-minute phone assessment that can be scheduled here. Ideal candidates:

Are senior leaders

Have seven-plus years of direct people-management experience Are leaders working on the enterprise (organization-wide) level

Note: (Leaders with fewer than seven years of experience are eligible for the Accelerated Leadership Experience

Who are the program faculty?

The program is co-led by Ali Boyd and Scott McLagan, both of whom bring extensive expertise and experience to the curriculum, ensuring a rich and multifaceted approach to leadership development.

Ali Boyd is an executive coach, professor, consultant, and sought-after speaker who drives transformative growth in leaders, teams, and systems She specializes in working with senior leaders to leverage deep inner work for performance and transformational change, partnering with clients such as Google, Amazon, and the University of Michigan. Ali designs and leads impactful leadership programs while integrating her passion for systemic health, mindfulness, and global experiences into her practice.

Scott McLagan is an Emeritus Professor of the Practice in Management at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business, where he led the Executive Leadership and Global Business elements of the Executive MBA program for 18 years before retiring in 2022. He continues to teach and consult in Leadership, Executive Team Development, and Strategic

Planning/Execution, working with over 80 organizations including Newmont Mining and Kaiser Permanente.

Together, they provide a dynamic blend of skills that strengthen the development of leaders across various sectors.

How much does DLX cost?

DLX tuition is $5,800. Many organizations provide nancial assistance for professional development programs. We commend speaking with your HR or L&D department about potential opportunities for employee sponsorship and reimbursement options.

Do you oer discounts?

We provide tuition waivers for DU employees and a 15% discount for alumni, groups of three or more from the same organization, as well as government and nonprot employees If you wish to enroll more than ve participants from your organization, please contact us to discuss additional discount opportunities.

How do I register?

To begin, schedule your 15-minute introductory interview to conrm that DLX aligns with your leadership experience and development goals. Once conrmed, you can register via our Denver Leadership Experience webpage. If you are a DU sta member, please refer to our “Registration for DU Sta” webpage for detailed instructions.

You will receive a welcome email from Executive Education one month prior to the program's start date. Ali Boyd will also arrange a 25-minute intake coaching call to discuss your goals for the program After that, you’re all set to participate in our immersive experience!

How do I register “for credit?”

DU sta members wishing to register "for credit" can access the registration form on our DU Sta Registration Page, which includes instructions for utilizing HRIC Tuition Waiver Benets

What is the recommended

attire?

We suggest business casual or casual attire. Since our programs include hands-on, experiential activities, wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely and feel condent.
