How Three Climbers Turned
Bad Ideas Into Good Products
Remember that time you and your buddies had a “brilliant” idea at sunrise? Well, that’s exactly how DUDES vs. GRAVITY was born – during a crazy photo mission in Slovenia. We’re three climbing-obsessed friends who turned our questionable decision-making skills into something actually useful.
Before creating climbing gear, we were busy with “essential” projects like jumping over cars on skis and building a 30-meter slide (you know, normal weekend stuff). But our crowning achievement of questionable brilliance? Building the first-ever floating climbing wall on a river. Somehow, it didn’t sink, and it even turned into an annual competition!
Then came the pandemic. While most people were baking sourdough, we were holed up in our attic gym, dreaming up the perfect hangboard. After countless prototypes and probably too much coffee (beer), the GRAVITYboard PRO was born – a training tool that’s both beautiful enough to hang in your living room and effective enough to make your forearms cry.
What started as a successful Kickstarter campaign has grown into a full family of wooden training equipment. Each piece is crafted with the same philosophy: climbing gear doesn’t have to look like it belongs in a medieval torture chamber to be effective.
At DUDES vs. GRAVITY, we’re serious about climbing but never about ourselves. We believe in pushing limits, chasing dreams, and occasionally doing things that make our mothers nervous (sorry, Mom!). Our mission is to help people become better climbers while having a blast doing it.
Because at the end of the day, we’re just three friends who love climbing and decided to turn our obsession into something useful. Join us in our eternal battle against gravity – spoiler alert: gravity hasn’t won yet!
GRAVITYboard PRO
First of its kind
We have designed GRAVITYboard PRO from the ground up to break all the design rules of traditional hangboards and to lean towards more natural curved shapes. The main focus was on creating a product that is both elegant and aesthetic, but hase the same functionality as other hangboards. We ended up with the unanimous shape, which has three main independent lines over the board.

GRAVITYboard LITE
With climbing becoming more and more popular and a lot of new people trying it, we decided to create an easier version of our GRAVITYboard PRO. That is how the LITE version came to be.
The GRAVITYboard LITE is suitable for complete beginners and also for more experienced climbers.
The slopers from PRO version were replaced with two jugs, which makes it perfect for some pull ups or dead hangs if you are not ready to do a pull-up yet. The edges are deeper which makes it easier to start with your hangboard training.

HELIX is a great tool to take with you everywhere you go. There will always be a place for it in your climbing bag. It is versatile and adapts to your training needs. Use the traditional hang approach by suspending it from a tree branch or bolt outdoors, or train with just your body weight by utilizing the included cord and foot tension. Training with just body tension is the perfect way to warm up, where there are no easy climbs around.

The idea for GRAVITY HOLDS came from repurposing leftover wood from our hangboards. Instead of wasting it, we turned it into something useful.
Made in Slovenia from certified European beech wood sourced from sustainable forests, GRAVITY HOLDS are designed to be gentle on your skin, featuring a tendonfriendly design that reduces strain on fingers.
With a smooth, untreated surface, the wood naturally absorbs sweat for a dry, comfortable grip. These versatile holds are perfect for indoor climbing walls, spray walls and home training setups. Each piece is unique, with natural imperfections that add character and value.

Our products are crafted exclusively from locally-sourced wood, harvested from Slovenian forests and processed in local mills. By partnering with regional carpenters, we maintain complete oversight of our production chain while supporting our local economy.
