The Junior Sales Representative is an entry level Sales Position in Teradata’s Sales Team that will be focused on increasing hardware, software, and service sales in the Financial Services Industry through outbound calls/meetings and account management. This position will include telephone and face to face sales calls, demand creation, and account and opportunity management. This position is responsible for helping to build, maintain, and ensure the quality of the prospect and lead funnel. The Junior Sales Rep. works closely with sales management to strategically penetrate new accounts and to develop new business opportunities within the Southeast Territory.
Education and Experience Requirements: • BS or BA degree • Two years of technology related sales experience • Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed assigned goals • Excellent listening and phone skills required • Technology background and experience preferred • Ability to learn and understand product solutions and features • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: able to talk to LOB or technical audiences • Ability to understand Financial Services core business processes • Working knowledge of PCs, Windows, and Internet required • Proficient in MS Office Suite • Customer management database experience a plus • Ability to work in a team environment Must be able to travel 50 to 70% of the time.
