Position Title: Sales – Junior Account Executive (Solution Sales Specialist III) Job Category: Sales Location: (Southeast/Virtual) Job Summary : Teradata is looking for sales professionals who want to work in a dynamic and rewarding sales environment that promotes initiative, creativity and teamwork. The Junior Sales Representative is an entry level Sales Position in Teradata’s Sales Team that will be focused on increasing hardware, software, and service sales in the Financial Services Industry through outbound calls/meetings and account management. This position will include telephone and face to face sales calls, demand creation, and account and opportunity management. This position is responsible for helping to build, maintain, and ensure the quality of the prospect and lead funnel. The Junior Sales Rep. works closely with sales management to strategically penetrate new accounts and to develop new business opportunities within the Southeast Territory.
Education and Experience Requirements: • BS or BA degree • Two years of technology related sales experience • Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed assigned goals • Excellent listening and phone skills required • Technology background and experience preferred • Ability to learn and understand product solutions and features • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: able to talk to LOB or technical audiences • Ability to understand Financial Services core business processes • Working knowledge of PCs, Windows, and Internet required • Proficient in MS Office Suite • Customer management database experience a plus • Ability to work in a team environment Must be able to travel 50 to 70% of the time.

Key Areas of Responsibility: • Demand creation to include Outbound Cold calling, prospecting for new clients, qualifying leads • Generates new opportunities & appointments by managing inbound leads and making outbound calls. • Assists in Lead Qualification, Opportunity Development, and tracking • Participates in new opportunity development through the collection of market information. • Prepares quotes, responds to inquiries, and supports the selling process as part of the sales team. • Analyze customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying projects and scoping potential Teradata solutions • Determining clients’ needs and passing key information on to Senior Sales Consultants, assist in building the foundation for a solid client relationships • Assisting current clients as needed Other Responsibilities: • Coordinates and participates in various programs, trainings, meetings, and opportunities for Teradata. • Helps to develop and utilize scripts for prospecting and up-selling hardware and services opportunities to current and prospective customers. • Actively works with partner account manager in assigned markets to plan and pursue new and current opportunities. • Sales Certifications will be required as needed. • Completes other Sales projects and tasks as assigned.
