Greater Alabama Sporting Clays Classic

Page 1

Established in 1996 the Greater Alabama Sporting Clays Classic has grown into an annual tradition for area shooters raising over $1,900,000 for the Boy Scouts of America. Proceeds from the event help fund inner city outreach and outdoor programs that benefit thousands of youth across North and Central Alabama. Designed for the outdoor enthusiast, the two day event includes the best of clay shooting, off road Range Rover driving on a specially constructed course and catering from several local restaurants. The event begins Thursday, April 26th with our Gold Day* activities. Participating team sponsors will enjoy a chance to test drive a Range Rover on a specially designed course before an afternoon warm up shoot at Selwood Farms in which teams compete for the coveted Land Rover Cup. Thursday evening all shoot participants and their guest are invited to attend the Land Rover Sportsmen’s Reception in the Land Rover Birmingham showroom. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on several live and silent auction items and a chance to win a showcase gun donated by Steyr Arms, Inc all while enjoying a Cajun feast prepared by event sponsor iBERIA Bank. The Classic competition will be held Friday, April 27th. Events include Sporting Clays, 2-man Flurry, 4-Man Blast and Make a Break. Teams have the option of choosing a morning or afternoon flight. A lunch will be served and the event will conclude Friday afternoon with an awards ceremony.
