Consultant and experienced medical management professional Dr Wael Berro has been in the role of family medicine physician since 2016. Prior to this, he was a family medicine consultant at the Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai, UAE. From 2018 to 2020, Dr Berro was the medical director and family medical consultant at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, Jumeirah branch. Dr Berro has undertaken three medical volunteering missions in Greece (in 2015 and 2016) with the organisation SAMS Medical Missions. Dr Berro is a co-founder of the wellness programme run by the organisation Brain Matters, which is committed to providing high-quality mental health services including psychotherapy and neuropsychology. Brain Matters is the first centre in the UAE that’s dedicated to neuropsychological assessment and treatment for all ages. Dr Berro is a long-time player of handball and still plays for the Handball Club Dubai team. He also has a passion for travel, having visited more than 34 countries around the world so far.
