Biography of Dr. Vincenzo Giordano

Dr Vincenzo Giordano began his career in the UK in 2011, joining the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He was deeply involved in complex adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures and enhanced his critical care skills, earning an FCCS certification
In 2012, he moved to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh as a specialty doctor Over the next three years, he honed his elective and emergency procedures skills and played a crucial role in
multidisciplinary meetings He nurtured his interest in cardiac and aortic surgery research and developed skills in mentoring and training.
Position as Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Since October 2015, as a Locum Consultant and later as a substantive Consultant, Dr Giordano has performed various cardiac procedures, including keyhole surgeries. Since 2017, he has completed over 1900 cardiac and aortic cases He excels in total arterial myocardial revascularization surgeries and complex aortic surgeries
He is a key member of the Scottish National Thoraco-Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Complex Aortic Service, aiming to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex aortic conditions.
