Dolly and Mick are lost on a rocky road. Is it a cul de sac or just a detour? Can they find their way home and save their relationship? They return from a gig in their Berlingo van. He’s a widower from Limerick, she’s a divorcee from Arkansas. They both know their relationship is in trouble. As per our Strategy 2022 - 2026, creating a compelling programme of work that supports artists and nurtures audiences is at the heart of who we are and what we do. It is why we exist. To put arts at the heart of peoples’ lives. We want to create an ecology which nurtures art and artists, and which makes the production and presentation of high-quality work available. We do this by providing a suite of artist development supports including residency programmes, artists in association, awards and bursaries, partnerships, commissions, opportunities to showcase work through productions and co-productions, and solo and group exhibitions.

'17 Ways To A Better You' explores the impact of self-help books, click bait quick fix articles, being bombarded with advertisements and unattainable images particularly on social media promising a better life if we obey their message.
19www.droichead.com VISUAL ARTS
The work will be largely compiled of imagery from adverts from the 1950’s to the present day, in a freshly fucked-up, pop art and contemporary style.
Adrian+Shane are two artists working together as one since 1998. Using paint, collage, stencils, photos and video to create what is, without a doubt, pop art. Much of their work includes self-portraiture. Many piece's are loaded with fresh and welltargeted social commentary.

Give a Poem, Get a Poem returns. A project produced by LIVE Network, in association with local schools. Children will participate in creative writing workshops with published poets and are then invited to write their own poetry. Each child transcribes a finished poem to specially designed cards that are then distributed in the local community with a special batch posted to the other schools participating, so that every child who writes a poem gets one as a gift in return.
YOURS SINCERELY Yours
Several "Music through motion" sessions are to take place separately in each participating school. Over the month, intensive rehearsals will commence before all participants gather, for the first time, together under the ancient arches of Drogheda's Old Abbey to shoot and complete the final Back in the Groove 2 "The Gathering" film. All filming will be whisked away by the Bang Bang Visual crew and the official premiering of the video will take place this autumn.
Schools from all over Drogheda and its surrounds take on the massive "body percussion" challenge set out by KadaKaBoomArts.com 's top faciliator, Kieran Gallagher. (Working with Bang Bang Visuals, the process will be documented throughout.)
We know the difference the arts can make to people’s lives. That’s why we want to extend experiences of the arts to as many people as possible within our communities. We want the arts in Droichead to be of, by and for the people of Drogheda, East Meath and Louth. To achieve this, we need to sustain and deepen some of our existing relationships and to effect new ones. We need to listen and to learn from the very many diverse groups and communities about us. Working and thinking with them, we look forward to imagining and developing new ways for participation and for creating our future.
