Write about your topic’s philosophy. Include the branch of philosophy that they belong to (for each essay, I will require that you restrict your research to a specific branch / specific branches). Include the main ideas of their philosophies and doctrines. Include their most famous publication (if any) as well as any ideas that are particularly famous. [1-page min, 1 source min]

Write about an opposition to your topic specifically. Do not just write about an opposition to your topic’s branch. Find someone or some idea that specifically opposes your topic. Who did they argue with most often? Did they have a rival? Include who/what the opposition is as well as the main ideas of their philosophies that opposes your topic. If you cannot find an opposition, email me (or text me).

I might give you a new topic or I’ll give you a hint if I know of an opposition. [1-page min, 1 source min]

Make sure to include the bibliography on a separate final page. Remember to use only reliable sources. No .com or .org websites, no Wikipedia, and no random videos. Make sure to include a title, preferably your topic.

Paper For Above instruction

The assignment requires a comprehensive exploration of a chosen individual or philosophical figure, involving a detailed biography, an analysis of their philosophical beliefs within a specified branch, and a discussion of their opposition or rivals. The goal is to present a well-rounded understanding of the subject, supported by credible sources, with a structured presentation including introduction, body, and conclusion.

In the first section, a detailed biography should be provided, encompassing their full name, approximate dates of birth and death, and their geographical or intellectual origins. This establishes the contextual background of the figure or topic, giving insight into their life and influences (Kenny & Kenny, 2017).

The second section involves a detailed overview of their philosophical doctrines. Here, the researcher must identify the specific branch of philosophy they belong to—such as metaphysics, ethics, epistemology, or political philosophy—and explore their main ideas, doctrines, and key publications. For example, if the subject is Immanuel Kant, the discussion should include his contributions to epistemology and ethics,

notably his "Critique of Pure Reason," and his formulation of the categorical imperative (Allison, 2018).

The third aspect focuses on opposition or rivalry relevant to the chosen figure. This might involve discussing philosophical debates, opposing ideas, or specific rivals. For example, if examining Friedrich Nietzsche, it could include his opposition to traditional Christianity and the ideas of figures like Arthur Schopenhauer, illustrating contrasting philosophical views (Young, 2019). Understanding such opposition offers insight into the debates surrounding the figure's ideas and their impact on philosophical discourse.

Furthermore, the paper should include a bibliography of at least one source per section, emphasizing scholarly and credible resources. Sources should exclude general websites like Wikipedia or questionable domains, prioritizing academic books, peer-reviewed articles, and reputable publications.

Overall, the paper must be structured, informative, and analytical, providing a clear presentation of the figure’s biography, philosophy, and opposition, supported by credible references, and adhering to academic standards.
