However, a growing body of research also discusses privacy and security concerns, particularly regarding biometric data collection and potential misuse (Kühn et al., 2022). Studies like those by Lee et al. (2021) highlight the need for legislative and technological safeguards to mitigate risks. Efforts in the past three years have concentrated on developing privacy-aware frameworks and ethical guidelines for AR/VR deployment in education (Zhao & Kuo, 2022). Nevertheless, comprehensive empirical data on stakeholders' awareness and attitudes remain limited.

Study Approach This research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining a literature review, analysis of existing AR/VR educational platforms, and a targeted survey of students and educators. The core questions addressed include: How are AR and VR technologies designed for educational needs? What are the existing security, privacy, and societal challenges? What measures have been undertaken to mitigate these issues? and How do users perceive and understand these risks? The survey aims to gather insights into users' familiarity with AR/VR applications, their awareness of privacy concerns, and their knowledge of mitigation strategies.

Study Method The study involved selecting a sample of 200 participants, including university students and primary/secondary school teachers, across multiple institutions. Participants completed a structured questionnaire combined with semi-structured interviews. The survey assessed their familiarity with AR/VR technologies, awareness of privacy and security risks, and understanding of potential solutions.

The study environment included classrooms equipped with AR/VR tools, virtual environments for hands-on tasks, and online survey platforms. Data collected encompassed quantitative responses, qualitative comments, and behavioral observations. The analysis employed statistical methods for quantitative data and thematic coding for qualitative insights to identify patterns and correlations.

Study Results The survey results indicated that approximately 65% of participants were familiar with AR/VR technologies, but only 40% were aware of specific privacy and security implications.
