The Black & White - T&C’s Terms and Conditions: 1. Booking Confirmation: 1.1. By making a booking with us, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

1.2. Your booking will be considered confirmed once we have received a 20% deposit of the total event cost.

1.3. Catering requirements are due at 2 weeks prior to event 2. Deposit: 2.1. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total event cost is required to secure your booking.

2.2. The deposit is payable at the time of booking.

2.3. Failure to pay the deposit within 72 hours of booking may result in the automatic cancellation of your reservation.

3. Payment: 3.1. The remaining balance of your event cost is due 14 days prior to event commencement 3.2. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking.

3.3. Payment can be made by credit/debit card, or direct deposit to the account details specified on the invoice.

4. Cancellation Policy: 4.1. We are sorry you have to cancel your event with us. If you cancel inside 5 days of the event, we will charge you the cost of the food component, as this would have been ordered in especially for your event.

5. Changes to Booking: 5.1. Increases to your group numbers may be made subject to availability and at the discretion of Drifter Christchurch & The Rambler, which may result in additional charges

6. Damages: 6.1. You are responsible for any damages caused to the venue or its contents during your stay. If you require hanging anything, please liaise with us first to ensure you don’t get charged for damaging our property.

6.2. The cost of repairing any damages will be charged to your credit/debit card or deducted from the bond, if applicable.

7. Intoxication 7.1. We love to provide top shelf liquor and our hospitality to match, but the law is the law and we must do our part to provide a safe venue for you, our community and our people. The manager on duty reserves the right to adjourn a function or refuse service to any guest deemed intoxicated.

We will also endeavour to ensure getting home safely is achieved by calling a cab if needed.

8. Liability: 8.1. We will endeavour to ensure that your belongings are protected, however we offer no guarantee of this and will not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property left at our joint prior to, during or after your function.

8.2. We recommend that you obtain travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

9. Force Majeure: 9.1. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or government actions.
