Industrial experience, Intellisyn-Pharma - Duties highlight but not restricted to building complex chemo-type potential drugs on specific biology base (LogP, lipophilicity, metabolic stability, permeability, solubility, PGP reactivity, etc…). Work heavily involves docking studies, structure-activity-relationship data analysis, tele-conferences with clients and collaborators, brainstorming drugs design meetings as work progress, and patents write up (Patent pending). 2013-2015
Academic Postdoctoral at University of Toronto

Academic postdoctoral, faculty of pharmacy, Prof Carolyn Cummins (U of T) and department of organic chemistry, Prof Orellana Arturo, York University, Toronto, Canada. In collaboration with Dr. Kevin Canning at GSK (Glaxo Smith kline Inc). Research highlights but not restricted to developing methodology for the synthesis of array of “relatively small” medicinally active compounds with potential antagonist activity (contributing to LXR receptor). Ultimately, the project aims to create a drug that will limit the severity of the side effect (diabetes) that develop after long-term glucocorticoid use improving the lives of thousands of Canadians and millions of patients world-wide. Duties were extended to tele-communication with the collaborator, and patents write up (2 Patents pending).

► Course lecturer, lab demonstrator and assigned marker for 2nd and 3rd year organic chemistry, 140 students per each class, and general chemistry 120 students. Achievements: Emphasize students on keeping complete and accurate scientific notes and assist them individually with the material. Students were asked to present certain topic they pick throughout the course. ► Heavily involved in writing problems sets for chemistry exams. ► Mentor/co-supervisor for graduate and undergraduate students (three graduate students over the years).
LANGUAGES English Arabic Swedish
► Tutored organic chemistry for many students (separate session and class sessions) throughout my profession. ► Innovation teaching method: Utilized emails and skype as an access to all questions students had at point in anytime throughout the courses. Students were asked to create their own professional LinkedIn profile as way to monitor and strengthen their career development. ► I have created group studies for students to help them communicate their ideas and individual contributions among each group and also among the whole class.
