Husband and wife dream team keeps everybody smiling

It’s a match that must have been written in the stars. The husband and wife team of maxillofacial surgeon Gregory M. Casey, DDS and orthodontist Dr. Maryann Kriger, DDS, P.A. share just about everything, which is good for their marriage and their medical practices. Chief among those common bonds is an ironclad commitment to their skills and patients. “We are both board certified in our respective specialties and this translates to both of us striving to provide the best care possible to our patients,” said Dr. Kriger. Dr. Kriger says she feel very blessed to have Dr. Casey on her side, because often in orthodontics, it is necessary to create room for the alignment of teeth or to create room for a dental implant, or
repositioning jaws to correct dental function and facial esthetics and sleep apnea. That’s where being married to a maxillofacial surgeon like Dr. Casey comes in handy.“As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon I am trained to place dental implants, do extractions of wisdom teeth and perform orthognathic surgery, which can move jaws to achieve function and facial balance,” said Dr. Casey.“ This enables us to work simultaneously to plan and achieve the best conservative care possible for patients.” Both spouses highlight the benefits of working together, both medical and personal. “Over the years I have realized how certain surgical procedures can affect the success of my orthodontics, and by working together Dr. Casey
