Dr. Lockard has worked in a variety of settings including forensic, correctional,Community Mental Health &Autism Clinics, County and Psychiatric Hospitals, Residential Treatment Centers and State Behavioral and Social Services agencies.

Her areas of interest and expertise (all bilingual) include: clinical, criminal forensic, psychosexual and neuropsychological assessment and treatment. Jason Flassing, PA-C Bio Mr. Jason Flassing is a Psychiatric Physician Assistant who has worked in the field of mental health for over seven years. He holds a Masters of Medical Science Degree from Emory University,a degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University and he is a National Health Service Corps Scholar.

Mr. Flassing previously provided primary care services in a rural health clinic near Roanoke, VA. Currently he is on staff at The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health where he provides treatment to patients in both the inpatient and partial hospital programs. His ability to integrate both the medical and emotional aspects of his patients symptoms allows him to provide exceptional and comprehensive care to his patients.

While Mr. Flassing enjoys working with all types of psychiatric symptoms, he has a particular interest in treating bipolar, depressive and anxiety disorders.

Keith Plowden, PhD, PMHNP-BC Dr. Keith Plowden is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who holds a BS in Nursing from Pace University in New York, a MS from LaSalle University in Philadelphia & Central University and a PhD from Walden University. He is Board Certified in Adult and Family Psychiatry.He is also a Board Certified Gerontogical Nurse. Dr. Plowden is certified in nursing education and has worked as a nurse educator. Overall he has over 30 years experience in both acute care and psychiatry.

Betty Ann Cook, RN Betty Ann Cook is our Practice Administrator. She has over 18 years experience as a Practice Administrator in the psychiatric field. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Nursing. Prior to becoming a practice administrator she worked as a case manager and as Director of a Day Rehabilitation Program for Stroke and Head Injury patients in Texas. She has written protocols and procedures for CARF accreditation for outpatient clinics and has helped with JCAHO accreditation in inpatient settings. As a strong patient advocate, she believes in greater public awareness in the field of mental illness and treatment of mental disorders. Integrity, ethics, professionalism, compassion and patience are constantly utilized as her personal standards of care.

Lee walker, LISW Lee Walker, LISW has worked for over 40 years in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. He has provided counseling and consultation for host agencies such as law enforcement and juvenile probation. His areas of expertise includes: crisis hot line, psychiatric intake, diagnosis & treatment evaluations, direct treatment and grief counseling.

Presently, his practice is focused on providing adult individual and couples short term counseling. Mr. Walker employs CBT &Reality Therapy as primary interventions for patients dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety/Depression, Bipolar Disorder and a variety of life stressors.
