The 2026 Summer Session Guide outlines the required summer professional learning for new curriculum and new to role educators to implement the district core high quality instructional materials (HQIM) for their grade band and content area. Educators at schools implementing new curriculum and educators new to their role who will be using the new curriculum are required to attend. Sessions will familiarize participants with the structure of the curriculum - both the principles of its design and the research informing it. Participants will navigate specific logistical and technological considerations as well as differentiation and access to support equitable instruction, and internalize the first Units to plan for a strong start. All sessions have at least two options to attend; educators may select the dates and times that work best for their schedule. Sessions are listed by grade band and content area. For questions, contact professional_learning@dpsk12.org.
