Culturally Responsive Outdoor Learning Strategies

Session Description: In this fun and engaging session, educators will learn how to approach outdoor learning in their academic context, develop a versatile toolbox of nature-based teaching resources, and create culturally responsive content that is adaptable and transferable across multiple subject areas� This session is taught by DPS partner Lincoln Hills Cares, an organization that strives to increase equity in accessing outdoor resources and opportunities for youth, families and communities that may experience barriers� By joining this session, you will help your school meet the DPS Climate Action Plan goal that “100% of schools will incorporate outdoor learning in their academics”. Weather dependent, we will spend half the session outdoors doing nature-based activities that you can turnkey to your classroom immediately�
