Dog Parks

While regular leash walks provide a level of exercise that promotes good dog health, access for off-leash play and socialization is equally important. • All dogs MUST be registered with DPR annually • To ensure that we provide a healthy environment for all participants, we have adopted the vaccination requirements recommended by the American Animal Hospital Association. Current vaccination history for: 1. Rabies (1 or 3 year) 2. Distemper/parvo (1 or 3 year) 3. Bordetella (1 year) 4. Fecal exam-negative (1 year) *We also accept titer results in lieu of vaccinations except for rabies (state law). When these requirements are met, a DPR dog park tag is assigned. All dogs must wear their current DPR tag while playing in the park. Fees: Tags are valid for one year. Beginning July 1, 2013 tags will be valid January 1-December 31. Tags purchased beginning July 1, 2013 will expire December 31, 2014. Online registration for dog park tags is now available. Register online with barcode #11511, or contact DPR for more information. Flyball Workshop

The sport of Fly Ball is a type of relay race that involves teams of four dogs. Each dog on the team runs down a course, jumping hurdles, towards the flyball box. The dog steps on a panel to release a tennis ball, then brings the ball back over the hurdles to its handler. Flyball is a great way for your dog to enjoy time with other dogs, be active, and meet other dogs and their owners. Age: 18 and up CR PC $9; CR NPC $10 NCR PC $13.50; NCR NPC $15

Tracking Workshop

Is your dog nosey? Then why not try tracking? Tracking requires a dog to follow a scent trail. These events mimic search-and-rescue missions, assessing the dog’s natural ability and willingness to follow a trail left by human footsteps. Dogs and their handlers often enjoy this work, and success can open doors to pursue real life search-andrescue work. Age: 18 and up CR PC $9; CR NPC $10 NCR PC $13.50; NCR NPC $15
