April started off with an incredible performance from Marcus King Band and was followed by the DPAC debut of The Thorn. Next, talented artists from across the world came together to perform Jimi Hendrix’s greatest hits during Experience Hendrix .
The nine-time Tony Award ® winning Best Musical, The Book of Mormon, returned to the DPAC stage for eight great performances. We also had the award-winning comedy news quiz show from NPR return, Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! Then, Swifties came together for the greatest Taylor Swift tribute band during Let’s Sing Taylor. Followed by Chicago putting on an incredible sold-out rock and roll show to complete their 58th year of touring, and Amos Lee also treated his fans to songs from his new album and his greatest hits.
Dave Ramsey and John Delony discussed an expansive range of topics, including money and relationships, and R&B fans were given a show to remember at The October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour. We ended the month with The Carolina Chocolate Drops reuniting for the first time in years during the sold-out Biscuits & Banjos Festival, and the kid favorite PBS show brought Elmo, Cookie Monster, and friends live to DPAC in Sesame Street Live.
We thank you for your support and hope to see you at a DPAC show soon!
