Introduction
Silicon Valley International School is the only International Baccalaureate (IB) Bilingual
Continuum on the West Coast. We are the school of choice for families seeking a comprehensive college preparation: the IB diploma, or the bilingual IB diploma in Chinese, French, and German.
As we are celebrating our 45th anniversary, we are proud of Silicon Valley International School’s trajectory. Throughout our history, we have focused on delivering a challenging bilingual and inquiry-based education. Through the balance between tradition and innovation, we have also always positioned ourselves to ascend to the next level.
To that end, for the past two academic years, we have gathered our community in fruitful conversations through focus groups, surveys, and board retreats. Guided by our school’s mission and values, we have been thinking strategically, imagining how to adapt and best position our school for the future.
Recognizing the pace of change in education and inspired by our school’s institutional growth, this strategic plan charts an ambitious path for our future.

With 45 years of experience in bilingual education and our status as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we uphold academic excellence through our deep expertise and implementation of inquiry-based teaching practices informed by the latest pedagogical research.
We aim to strengthen the educational journey of our students by elevating the school as a pillar of IB and bilingual excellence, igniting a collective pride in our IB continuum (PS-12th Grade) that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional growth, inspiring students to discover their passions and empowering them to overcome future challenges.
