A ‘Coin of the Bible’, we have one example of the Tyrian Shekel available – an example that was STRUCK DURING THE LIFETIME OF CHRIST!
According to the Gospel of Matthew 26:15, Judas Iscariot received ‘thirty pieces of silver’ to identify Jesus, leading to his crucifixion. Filled with remorse, Judas tried to return the money, and then committed suicide. A crucial coin in Judaea, the shekel is considered the strongest candidate as the coin paid to Judas for his treachery.
Struck in 10-11AD, during Christ’s lifetime, this famous Biblical rarity is a must-have for any serious Ancient collector.
Inspired by The Twelve Caesars, written circa 120AD by Suetonius, secretary to the Emperor Hadrian, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection represents the Holy Grail for every serious Ancient coin collector.
A comprehensive numismatic appreciation of the early days of one of the world’s greatest political entities, this rare, historic collection comprises a genuine coin for each of the first twelve rulers of the Roman Empire. This includes some of the true giants of history – Julius Caesar, Augustus, Caligula, Claudius, Nero and more!
A 2,000-year-old collection, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars is also defined by extreme rarity. All Julius Caesar coins are scarce to rare, as are those of Caligula, Nero and Titus. Galba, Otho and Vitellius each reigned for a mere matter of months, and the coinage of all three is rare. Comprising so many individual rarities, it’s no shock that this immensely important set is seldom offered.
With just ONE collection available, immediate action is essential!
The RAM has long played a key role in celebrating the most important people, places and events of Australian history. In particular, the RAM has been crucial in enabling Australians

Highly sought after as ‘the last of its kind’, Great Britain’s 1925 Gold Sovereign was the last date struck at the Royal Mint distinguished by the portrait of King George V.
A coin with a fascinating tale to tell, the dies for the 1925 Gold Sovereign were also used to strike further sovereigns during the reign of the son of King George V – King George VI – to meet the massive demand for sovereigns in the aftermath of WWII! A key date, the 1925 Gold Sovereign is a must-have in Choice Uncirculated condition.
One of Australia’s most important rarities, we are proud to present the finest 1813 NSW Dump offered by Downies in more than 90 years in the industry –and the finest D/2 Type Dump ever graded by PCGS!
One of the first two coin types struck on Australian shores, along with the 1813 Holey Dollar, the 1813 Dump represents a compelling combination of extreme rarity and rich colonial history. Created by punching the centre from Spanish Silver 8 Reales to create two coins, the 1813 NSW Holey Dollar & Dump were the lifeblood of the colonial economy before legal tender status was withdrawn in 1829. Most Dumps were melted down, and less than 1,000 are believed to exist today – with a tiny number of the D/2 Type offered here.
Instantly identifiable as a D/2, the cross on the crown points between the ‘U’ and ‘T’ in ‘SOUTH’, there are stops between the words ‘NEW’, ‘SOUTH’ and ‘WALES’, and the pearls in the crown are equal in size and touch the top of the band. The majority of surviving D/2 type examples are very well worn, with a minuscule number in better grade. Featuring strong detail in the lettering and crown, with traces of the original Spanish 8 Reales host coin, this example has been graded by PCGS at XF45. Unusually for a D/2, the date is very clear and completely on the flan – testimony to the seldom seen quality of the coin. With Downies never having offered a better example of the 1813 NSW Silver Dump – regardless of the type – this opportunity must not be missed
A coin that will take your collection to unprecedented heights, this is the finest D/2 Type 1813 NSW Dump ever graded by PCGS!
