The Dowdie News Gazette Volume 5, Issue 3 he purpose of life is to enjoy every moment and for me, it is high on my priority list. 2015 was off to good start (for me), however, the second quarter was nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster. I have been enjoying a very active summer, so much so that concerned family and friends asked when I have time to sleep. I must admit that I am not getting the recommended hours of sleep, however, I am not emotionally and physically drained, as I was this time last year. On the contrary, with the exception of my low iron levels, I feel healthier that I have been in the past few years. Work/life balance is now normal, so I am able to enjoy fun times with family and friends. My weekend To Do list is full, to say the least, and I have been enjoying plenty memorable moments. The summer months have been eventful thus far, and in the space of three months, I attended a wedding, two funerals, a baby dedication, a graduation, concerts, and of course, the Memorial Day weekend BBQ. I have also connected with my older brothers (on my father’s side), who I’ve never met. I will be visiting with them (in Canada) for the first time in July. I am very thankful for the many blessings in my life.
