Welcome to the Fall issue of our Douglasville Impact Newsletter! Summer is wrapping up, and cool breezes are starting to fill the air, signaling that fall is upon us! Fall is no different than all our other seasons, bringing about a wealth of events and programs that are upcoming for our wonderful City of Douglasville residents

newsletter, you will discover information about our annual fall events and festivals, including information about our big 150th Anniversary Birthday Bash at the

Douglasville Town Green on September 13th!

We are proud that, no matter the season, the City of

We’ve celebrated Douglasville’s 150th birthday all year long with parties in Wards 1, 3, 4, and 5 and now it’s time for the grand finale! Join us for the biggest birthday bash yet as we bring the whole city together for one last celebration.

This final birthday bash will be packed with fun for all ages bounce houses and inflatables, live music, games, and activities the entire family will enjoy Whether you’ve joined us already or this is your first stop, everyone from every ward is invited to come out and celebrate 150 years of community, connection, and Douglasville pride.

Free funnel cakes for the first 50 guests—so bring the whole family, friends, and neighbors. Don’t miss this unforgettable finale to a year of celebration!

Electronics & Metal Recycling

Glass items like food-grade jars and bottles (metal caps recycled separately).

Aluminum items like soda cans, pet food cans, clean foil trays, metal lids, etc

Recycle your electronics, appliances, scrap metal, and tires during our free biannual recycling events. These events are posted on Facebook and are typically held in April and October at the

First Presbyterian Church, 9190 Campbellton St. A $5 fee applies per monitor or TV. For more
