Cō-Impact Sourcing® Cō-Impact Sourcing helps dōTERRA ethically source natural products by working hand in hand with local communities and individuals. This initiative establishes and grows partnerships with local farmers, harvesters, distillers, and community leaders so dōTERRA can ensure its supply chains are empowering people, improving processes, and caring for the planet. Here are a few examples:

People

Process

Planet

Enzo and his family have been producing citrus oils for nearly 150 years. He produces dōTERRA® Wild Orange essential oil alongside other small-scale growers—growers who each own just a few acres of land—in southern Brazil.

dōTERRA Lavender essential oil production has generated hundreds of jobs in Bulgaria. Built and managed by Bulgarians, the Esseterre distillation plant is providing significant economic revitalisation to the Dobrich region.

Distillation units near Indian peppermint fields use the leftover plant materials after processing the essential oil to fuel their distillation boilers. This recycling reduces waste and provides free, accessible fuel to local farmers.

Working hand-in-hand to make a difference Share this story with your customers of how dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ and Cō-Impact Sourcing walk together to make an impact. Perth Charity Dismantle puts mentoring in motion with their BikeRescue initiative, designed to support young people with hands-on technical, personal and social skill development through a bike restoration program. Delivered by trained youth workers, this program gives participants the chance to fix bikes while gaining the insights and skills to help them with their future pathway planning. Over the last two years, dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ and Cō-Impact Sourcing have joined forces with our Sandalwood supplier to bring this program to the students of East Kimberley College in Kununurra, Western Australia. Each year we visit Kununurra with a number of our Wellness Advocates on the Sourcing trip of a lifetime, gaining an insight into Cō-Impact Sourcing and Healing Hands and how we make an impact in communities where we source our oils. In collaboration with our supplier, we learn all there is to know about Sandalwood, from seedlings through to harvesting and processing for oil distillation. Alongside this, we also witness the delivery of the 5 day BikeRescue program and share our oils with students and teachers at East Kimberley college. The program continues to build, with East Kimberley College and the local Police & Citizens Youth Centre now investing in the program, a true example of collective impact. Caro Bruce, head of the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ said “What stood out for me was to see a couple of young people come back to participate in the program again and, using the skills they learnt last year, take a leadership role in helping other kids restore and repair their bikes. As always, the highlight is to see the look of pride on their faces when they ride around showing off their newly restored bikes.” Stories like this would not be possible without the commitment of our dōTERRA Community to do good in the world.

Teach with Impact One of the simplest ways to incorporate the dōTERRA pursuit into your business is by building it into your Intro to Essential Oil classes. While conversations about dōTERRA should always start with sharing products to help others meet health goals, informing about the dōTERRA pursuit where it fits into those introductory conversations can help people really understand the dōTERRA difference.

Case Study Wellness Advocate Bronwyn Ball says she has been helping to “change the world one hair at a time” through her support of Hair Aid Inc. Hair Aid teaches people living in poverty in developing countries the skill of hairdressing. Trainees then use the skills learnt to start their own micro business, cutting hair in their own communities and earning money to support their families to buy fresh water and food, educate their children, and move into housing. Bron fundraised and volunteered her time to travel to the Philippines in September 2023 to train 100 students, helping

bring hope to those in need. The oldest graduate on the program was 80 years' old and her driver for learning hair cutting was to be able to cut her grandchildren’s hair, as children who cannot afford haircuts are often not allowed to attend school. As well as fundraising the project costs to participate, plus paying her own way and taking time out of her busy business, Bron also donated dōTERRA products to the project. Bron said “I have spent countless hours on this project and it’s a lot of time well spent as I could see the benefits of what we do. I encourage other Wellness Advocates to get involved in these projects”.

25 collective and #ImpactAdvocate Create a competition between your teams to see who can build the biggest team of regular givers on their monthly Loyalty Rewards orders. Qualify as an #ImpactAdvocate by making a monthly donation of any amount. However, if each of your team members can give the equivalent of a takeaway coffee a week - $25 per month, they’ll not only create sustainable change, but will gain access to such perks as exclusive merchandise and priority access to Cō-Impact Sourcing Trips, which are amazing opportunities for builders to discover their WHY.

While dōTERRA spa Rose Hand Lotion and Hope Touch don't have PV, 100% of their purchase price is donated directly to dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ to support charitable projects in our community. Purchase dōTERRA spa Rose Hand Lotion

Case Study We issued a simple 'pay it forward' challenge to our recent Grow Blitz participants. Gift a spa Rose Hand Lotion to someone who is in need of spoiling or cheering up. When gifting the product, we asked them to share the ethos of Healing Hands and how we all work together to make a collective impact in our community. The response to the challenge was outstanding, with Grow Blitz participant Niki Rentoul amplifying the spirit of giving in her community. When Niki received the Rose Hand Lotion, she was initially going

to pay it forward to an unwell friend, but started to think about dōTERRA’s ethos, realising she wanted to gift this to many in her community. So, during her time in New Zealand over the holiday season, Niki gifted more than a dozen people in need with hand treatments. Instead of using essential oils, she used, in her own words, “the love of Rose oil in this very special hand lotion”. Niki's innovative approach allowed her to extend the impact of a single tube of hand lotion to many, showcasing her as a true inspiration. Try this simple activity with your team and customers!

Purchase dōTERRA Hope® Touch Almost every day around the world women, men and children fall victim to exploitation at the hands of human traffickers. And the problem is bigger now than ever before in history. Twice the population of Australia - 45 million people – are currently enslaved globally. The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ supports the Hope action plan, working with Australian based charity Hagar to prevent human trafficking and victimisation in South East Asia.

Case Study Vietnam is a significant source country for trafficking and forced labour, with an estimated 421,000 people currently living in modern slavery. The Yen Bai province, where we source Litsea, is a particular hotspot and the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ and Co-Impact Sourcing are joining forces to focus our efforts on trafficking prevention through our biggest initiative to date. Partnering with Hagar, the Animal Bank Program is designed to grow household income for trafficking survivors and women at risk of human trafficking. The program provides women with a pair of income-producing animals such as cows, goats or pigs, and offers training in care and breeding to help improve their long-term economic livelihoods.

Once these animals breed, their offspring go into a communal ‘animal bank’ helping to continue the cycle of hope in other vulnerable households. Investing in the Animal Bank program in Vietnam is our collective contribution to the broader impact of the global dōTERRA Healing Hands Hope anti-trafficking movement and is helping women like Huong. By joining the program Huong has developed skills in raising animals and managing household finances, promising a more stable income for her family. This has created a much happier house where Huong and her husband work side by side as a team.
