Celebrating 30th anniversary year with the completion of prestigious London project N e w t o n F o r g e c e l e b r a t es i t s 3 0 t h Anniversary with the completion of their latest prestigious project for the Royal Courts of Justice, The Strand. It is a welcome treat in these difficult times to hear of a local company celebrating their 30th anniversary. Especially, when the anniversary coincides with the completion of yet another prestigious project. Newton Forge has grown substantially since its humble beginnings in the North Dorset market town of Sturminster Newton, where Ian & Karen Ring set up a forge at his Uncle’s Farm. Now, 30 years later, it is a leading specialist in the restoration of wrought iron, cast ironwork, traditional and contemporary design with an impressive list of clients including the National Trust, English Heritage, Hampton Court, Windsor Great Park, and Tower Bridge.. to name but a few. One of Newton Forge’s latest projects has been for the Royal Courts of Justice in The Strand, London. Director Ian Ring explains, “This impressive building was opened by Queen Victoria in 1882 and the imposing gothic gates and fences have stood the test of time. Our project involved carefully restoring and repairing sections, making and installing new fencing in the Cary Street area and adapting fences and 3 entrances, such as the Judges main gates, to meet modern security demands.”

Ian reflects on the past 30 years, “It has been a real privilege to work on some of the most architecturally important buildings in this country. I am very proud of our team who understand their work is part of our heritage and apply their passion and skill to create the best”. He added, “We will be celebrating the 30 year anniversary with a party for our great team”.
