Rules and game conditions tweaked and improved The winter staff meeting was held last month and some new rules and game conditions were one of it’s outcomes. Also a revised points/objectives/time chart was created. Both of these items will make significant differences in game flow and strategies for both sides. Take some time to review both of them It’s intended to make the game new and more exciting. A summary of the winter meeting notes can be found on page 2. You find information on the new paint, new approved grenade launchers, and the new dead zone / rally point system

25 airborne troops start game in Colleville Church

This year there is a brand new mission assigned to members of the elite 82nd Airborne and 82nd Pathfinders. The mission revolves around the church at Colleville. The Colleville church sits at a key junction between Colleville, St Laurent, Omaha and the Airfield

The revised points chart reflects a intent to spread the afternoon action to more areas of the field. The area around Caen will see considerably more action during the entire day. Additionally, Breacourt Manor has been moved to a location NW of Utah Beach. The points for this objective cause a new, hard fought battle in the north.

The church is 2 stories and huge. Approximately 30' x 60'. It dominates its portion of the field as seen in the aerial photo. The other part of Colleville is in the upper left portion of the picture. Colleville has often been considered the unofficial location of German HQ. It's a key piece of real estate, the high ground for this area of the field.

It's a crucial area.

The new points chart can be found on page 3. Minor tweaks are still possible and the final official version will be included in the paper version of Stars and Stripes available at the field the week of D-day.
