Throughout 2021 extensive refurbishments were carried out on Surrenden Swimming pool.

In the early part of 2021, the swimming pool was drained and relined, while the old ceiling was removed and a white panelled suspended ceiling fitted. The old plant room was re-sited to the Southern aspect of the building and a new filtration system was installed in and around the pool, bringing it into the 21st Century for pool water treatment.

Then, in July 2021, works were started on the changing room areas to bring them up to standard.

These works are now almost complete, with an entirely new design layout which makes showering and changing in a brightly lit and heated area a pleasurable experience.

For Surrenden Pool users it has been quite a wait but the facility is now something of which to be very proud.
