Dear Members and Friends of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc.,
Welcome to your guide to the 2025-2026 Girl Scout Membership Year with Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc. In this guide, you will find everything that GSHH has planned for Girl Scouts to grow in their Girl Scout journey and volunteers to get the training and knowledge they need to branch out on their own.
You will find program offerings throughout GSHH’s seven-county footprint for both youth and adult Girl Scouts to provide accessible experiences to all of GSHH’s members.
This year, we are adding more functionality to the Program Guide by including registration links into the program listings to provide you better access to the programs and be a reference for you and your Girl Scouts throughout the year.
This guide will serve as your go-to resource throughout the year for checking program dates and if a session is being repeated if you missed it or want to recommend it to a fellow Girl Scout.
We hope as you look through this guide you will find something interestingsomething you’ve never done but always wanted to try - there’s something for everyone!
GSHH grows Girl Scouts - we hope you’ll join us as you continue to forge your own path and grow through your Girl Scout journey.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
Dr. Kari L. Rockwell CEO, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc.
GSHH takes the guesswork out of planning activities! Girl Scouts can sign up for programs with their troops, as an individual who is part of a troop but who wants to explore her own interests, or as an independently registered Girl Scout (Juliette).
The Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson Program Guide contains:
q A list of the scheduled programs/trainings* by date with age level indicators
q Description of programs with locations, registration fees, and anything else you may need for the programs
q A listing of webinars and resources for Girl Scouts working toward their Highest Awards (Gold, Silver, and Bronze)
q Important dates for GSHH’s Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs
q Volunteer Engagement trainings and adult learning sessions.
*Programs are subject to change in the event of low registration numbers, severe weather, or scheduling conflicts.

Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a kitchen newbie, this is your chance to get hands-on with cooking over an open fire, mastering your knife skills, and using a Dutch oven and camp stove to whip up a delicious meal in the great outdoors.
What’s on the Menu? Together, we’ll create a full-course meal — appetizer, entrée, and dessert — all cooked from scratch in the outdoors! It’s the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and bond as a group. From chopping and prepping to cooking over a fire, this is the ultimate hands-on cooking experience.
Skills We’ll Sharpen:
Knife Skills: Learn how to safely use a knife to chop, slice, and dice ingredients like a pro.
Cooking Over a Fire: Channel your inner outdoor chef as we cook up delicious dishes over the open flames.
Dutch Oven & Camp Stove Cooking: Master the art of cooking with classic camping tools, and discover how to make mouth-watering meals with a Dutch oven and camp stove.
Dietary Restrictions: We believe everyone should be able to enjoy a great meal, so we’ll reach out to ensure we can accommodate any dietary restrictions. Many of our classic recipes can easily be modified, so no one has to miss out on the fun or the food!
Family-Friendly Fun: We want to make this a family program, so guardians are encouraged to stay and cook alongside their Girl Scouts. This is a great chance to bond, work together as a team, and share in the joy of a meal made with care. Girl Scouts will earn a fun patch to commemorate this delicious, hands-on experience. After a day of service to the camp, we’ll sit down to enjoy our outdoor meal together — nothing beats the taste of food cooked over the fire, shared with friends and family in the heart of nature!

Your Girl Scout can fund their Girl Scout year through participating in GSHH’s product programs, the fall Nuts and Mags program, and the famous Girl Scout Cookie Program in late winter/early spring. The proceeds from these programs stay local, funding council programs and assistance to Girl Scouts, and provides direct funding to Girl Scout troops and individual Girl Scouts. These funds can be used for uniforms, program fees, membership renewal, summer camp, and even overseas destinations!
