Welcome to dhf’s Training Programme

dhf provides a comprehensive training programme for the industries it serves.

Its rigorous procedures ensure that the courses have met the highest quality for information and delivery. Every course or webinar created by dhf has learning outcomes that clearly define what knowledge a learner can expect to acquire specifically from that course.

This brochure contains all the information that enables you to decide which training course or webinar is right for you and your colleagues.

Against each course or webinar, you will see a number of icons that identify the various options available. The table on the right gives the definition for each icon.

If you have any questions regarding our training programme, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Training Department who will be more than happy to help.

The UK PSTI Regulations

New for 2025

New for 2025

The UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (Security Requirements for Relevant Connectable Products) Regulations 2023 came into effect in the UK in April 2024. This webinar explains the current requirements on manufacturers, importers and distributors of internet connectable products in the UK.

New EU Machinery Regulations

While the new EU Machinery Regulation retains many aspects of the current Directive, it introduces significant changes. This webinar explains the different time frames, requirements and the impact on standards that are fast approaching for CE marked machinery in our industry.

Traffic Barrier Compliance & Residual Risk Assessment

This webinar will discuss the process of identifying traffic barrier hazards and assess if they are adequately controlled in accordance with the standard. It will also discuss conducting site/system-specific residual risk assessments of the finished traffic barrier to gauge the need for additional measures.

Force Limitation

Safe force is one of the main ways to achieve compliance and prevent powered doors & gates from injuring people. The webinar will explain what safe force is, the time limits that apply in hazard locations, and how to achieve safe force. It will also cover testing at the main closing edges and how to verify safe force at hazards that cannot be easily or safely be measured.

To view the latest webinar schedule, scan the QR code

Compliance & Residual Risk AssessmentVertically acting products

This webinar will discuss the process of identifying hazards for vertically acting products and will assess if they are adequately controlled in accordance with the standard. The process of conducting a site/systemspecific residual risk assessment of the finished product will also be discussed to gauge the need for additional measures.

Non-contact Presence Detection

Non-contact presence detection is one of the 3 ways that powered doors, gates and barriers can be prevented from injuring people and achieve compliance with EN 12453. This webinar will cover: what non-contact presence detection is, how it can be used and how to test for compliance in a range of hazardous locations.

Compliance & Residual Risk AssessmentHorizontally acting products

This webinar will walk you through the process of identifying all potential hazards for horizontally acting products and will assess if they are adequately controlled in accordance with the standard. The method of a conducting a site/system specific residual risk assessment of the finished product will also be discussed to gauge the need for additional measures.

Fall-back Protection

There is a clear requirement to protect against potentially fatal fall-back incidents, but the solution is often not a safety brake. This webinar will explain how to make an assessment and what the law says about fall-back protection.
