Typography has become very important in art when trying to convey a message, communication, and informing. It aides in brand building and peoples decision making. There are many fonts that exist! , Remember, not one day goes by that you, yourself, isn’t looking at or passing by the art of typography.
What is typography?
Art History: printmaking
It was discovered that printmaking began in the Han Dynasty China from a woodblock print on silk Printmaking art is when an image or text is made and then transferred onto paper or other objects with the use of ink Printing techniques to create templates include woodcut, etching, screenprint, andlithography
This form of artwork has become very important in society throughout the years It allows artists to share copies of images that can be reproduced on a mass scale As well as, a source of communication to pass information and document texts in the form of books, illustrations, and maps Print has allowed information to spread and be seen everywhere and distributed toeveryone
In the 15th century print began to evolve where artists began to all detailed borders, backgrounds, and more complex designs. The 16th century shed light on printmaking masters that included Albrecht Dürer (German artist), Albrecht Altdorfer, Hendrik Goltzius (engraver), other artists and publishing houses dominated printmaking In the 17th century engraving and the evolution became commercialized and other parts of the world had an increase in etching In the 18th century Italy was the center for printmaking in Europe In the 19th century lithography was invented The 20th & 21st century brought much change, with the invention of photography and entering into the digital world When 1976 rolled around artists and societywasintroducedtotheinkjetprinter While artists still learn and create art with old school techniques in printmaking, the advances of the digital printer and photography made it so printmaking was no longer the leading way to reproduceartandtext.

What is your inspiration?
“My Mother is my motivation. After losing her, I lost a major part of me that I know will never be replenished so at least go harder than yesterday meanwhile having grace for myself. I push pain through paint, not painting from a dark place because I accept the reality I am still here so show the world who you are, is my mentality My Mother was beautiful inside and out and raised me just that way. ”

“When I see something beautiful, it inspires me to create. A photo might inspire me, the face of a child or raindrops. Color also inspires me Color is everything It makes me feel happy, at peace and loving life Most of my work is colorful and bold.
I am attracted to textures, patterns and shapes found all around me, nature or man made I like to use photos and text that I paint over with layers upon layers of colors, lines and shades. I use many different techniques to achieve my vision
I have a degree in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. I work as a creative director for web and print projects ”

Animalia and The Hall of Bulls ~ because I am inspired both by my Native American heritage and my reverence for art history, I have chosen to paint cattle with reverence and respect Cattle are the most ancient and historical of all art subjects, as evinced by the cave paintings in Lascaux, France. (although my current works are reflective of Bovine, I am available for all animal commissions, canine, feline, equine bird etc ) I am a member of Cow Girl Artists of America.
To continue, my family heritage includes champion bull riders and ranchers who tended the herds on the ZX Cattle Ranch in Eastern Oregon. The ZX Ranch is one of the nation’s Largest Cattle ranches Interestingly, by the end of the 1930’s the ranch owned 230,000 acres and further leased another 1.5 million acres. I can only imagine the early artists in Lascaux, being consumed with recollection of the power and spirit of the Auroch bulls (Upper Paleolithic cattle )
So much that they created what archeologist have deemed, “The Hall of Bulls ” (Gallery of Cattle)Truly cattle are our ancient, collaborators of art culture and arbiters of appropriation. I created my own series, titled, Sala de Toros (The Hall of Bulls) to honor this first art gallery and its subject matter Moreover, I carefully, choose to add my own presentday, visual experiences within this genre. I have included cameo appearances of crows, who in modern times have a symbiotic relationship with cattle In creating this series, I worked from memory, firsthand sketches, and photos references. An additional muse is Rosa Bonheur, (16 March 1822 – 25 May 1899), the most famous, female artist of the last century She was renowned for her style of animal art, called Animaliere.
Most excitedly, this will be my upcoming series of special Bovine, in a project headed by agencies in several European countries It is thus, that I continue the homage to our beloved bovine My paintings in this series are medium to large, painted on either toned canvas, linen, or board, using oil paint.
My work is to be found throughout the world as decorative imagery on many different products including collectible phone cards, puzzles, key chains, mouse pads, and cutting boards Additionally, many of her limited edition prints are now found on the Secondary Market. I am an internationally, recognized canine artist and was invited to display at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 2009 I was also commissioned by, The California Waterfowl Association to illustrate and design their first, limitededition, collectible ornament.
She has illustrated 4 books to date and is working on several more. I am listed in Who’s Who Among American College and University Students 1997, for work in the conservation and restoration of several polychrome statues belonging to the Catholic Church. Her illustrated books include:
Tucker’s Tale by Christopher Walsh, Surf Doggy USA by Barbara Boyer, Mr. Topper the Magical Pot Bellied Pig by Liam Maher, and her own book, Pillow Land Puppies which she wrote and illustrated, it includes an appendix of the classic prose by Francis Thompson, “The Hound of Heaven.. “ The Squirrel Superhighway by Anna Morrisson.
Director of Academy Art of the West Ms Lavar teaches ongoing classes and specialized seminars.
“Everything you can imagine is real.”

The Bust of Nefertiti
This famous sculpture known as the bust of Nefertiti was created out of limestone. It would have been made in Egypt, the New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1351–1334 BC. This bust was a symbol and used for ancestor worship. The colors and paint used allowed it to stay intact.
