RELIVE THE GLOBAL SEARCH PARTY The Global Search Awards celebrated the very best in PPC, SEO and Content Marketing from across the globe.

As you know due to COVID-19 restrictions and concerns around travel, this year’s Global Search Awards didn’t take place on a beautiful New York rooftop the way we had planned. It was not our usual Search Awards party, but we hoped you enjoyed the virtual celebrations and coming together online as much as we did, for one different but equally fantastic Global Search Awards.

Havas Media UK & giffgaff giffgaff set Havas steep sales targets to hit, in a particularly volatile year, where performance was already dampened by falling Brand demand and the impact of COVID. To deliver against these targets whilst still retaining efficiency, we knew we had to be wiser with our investment, not larger.

We adopted a 3-pronged strategy, hinging on Tech Maturity, Data-focused Insights and Audience First Search, driving innovation at each of these stages. This approach was hugely successful, and we smashed the targets set, having delivered +40% against the Free SIM activation target, while doing this at a CPA 29% under target.

SEOsof & Casino Robots We are a small SEO agency based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and for us winning this award would be the greatest success in our history. We were able to repair the damage caused by two consecutive Google Core Updates in 2020 (May and December).

Peak Ace & TIMOCOM We helped TIMOCOM, the leading procurement platform for transport contracts in Europe, to reinvent their paid search channel in the midst of a global health crisis that shook the transport industry. We ended up building campaigns in 24 languages that now run in a total of 28 countries.

Given the economic situation in early 2020, TIMOCOM decided to significantly reduce their budget and focus on efficiency. We therefore had to balance cutting costs with achieving visibility amongst the users that mattered. We persevered and exceeded all our initial targets: we spent significantly less, acquired more leads and increased brand visibility.

Winning an award for this campaign would mean a lot to us, because it truly put our international agency to the test. Successfully localising these languages across several teams formed the basis of this campaign – as the numbers suggest, this approach quickly paid off. We believe that this campaign is an outstanding submission due to both its holistic approach to strategy and undeniable results.

We packaged this data to easily form the basis of content pieces, on subjects ranging from how childless women can face social exclusion (whether they are voluntarily childless or not), to topics of digitalisation of the medical field and more. While tackling taboo subjects, our outreach strategy also embraced the scrutiny that the COVID-19 pandemic placed on healthcare systems and medicine worldwide. Our results dramatically improved Zava’s profile, greatly increasing its authority score with a huge rise in media mentions.

To win this award would be to acknowledge an enormously successful campaign that raised the profile of not only a heretofore obscure field of medicine, but also work that brought attention to social issues still somehow not talked about in 2021.

A centralised SEO programme covered 13 EU markets to rollout a content and user engagement plan. We used our bespoke tool to identify the growth areas and create data driven content to boost sales and inspire meatless cooking.

Finally we helped to develop a bespoke system which could help measure and increase user engagement rate to boost sales The results across the market were astounding with millions of extra visits and engagements translating into huge revenue growth YoY from SEO. Despite the sharp decline in in-store sales, our combined online efforts almost entirely compensated for this loss of income. Although they had been running campaigns, they were not able to generate quality leads which converted. To help their business grow, they approached HOP to help them with their digital marketing. The campaign objectives were not only to increase the number of leads within the same budget but also to improve the conversion rate from 4.5% to 7.5% and bring the cost-per-lead down exponentially from $l15 to $27.

Our extremely localized strategy focusing on geo-targeting enabled us to over-achieve the campaign lead target by 160% with 321 quality leads. We also improved the conversion rate from 4.5% to 10% - the campaign target was 7.5%.

Finally, we also lowered the cost-per-lead more than the original objective of $27 per lead by bringing down the cost from a whopping $15 to $16.34!

The best part? The total revenue for the client from this campaign was double their business objective!

We are knowledgeable, personal, strategic and different. These core values are reflected in this case. Our knowledge is recognized by, for example, Google. As an agency, we have many clients in the event and cultural industry and are well represented in this niche. These customers have been heavily affected by the pandemic and we have done our best to get them through this, which we show an example of.
