Narrative Architecture Project time: 2023.07—2023.09 As the world's women's desire to have children declines, the world's total population is showing a downward trend. The power of childbearing to create life is in the hands of women.

Just like the world's population is dominated by women, women seem to have returned to the dominant position in matrilineal society.

LOCATION ANALYSIS

The movie "Barbie" uses Barbie as the female representative and Ken as the male representative. By narrating their exploration from Barbieland to the real world, it narrates the development process of the feminist system to the patriarchal system, which corresponds to the existing matriarchal social system village of Eyada Village in China. Spatially visualizing the changes in the role status of men and women allows people today to understand Eyada Village through matrilineal culture.

Location：Hailuogou Glacier Forest Scenic Area, Sichuan, China Hailuogou is a developed glacier forest scenic spot near Eyada Village. A mature hot spring industry has been developed here. The process of entering the scenic spot will go through four camps. Each camp has its own characteristics in terms of topography and seasonal characteristics. Integrate the social form and history of Eyada Village into the scenic spot, and use the hot spring hotel as a link to integrate the matriarchal social culture into modern society.

Camp 1 Matriarchal society period The traditional matriarchal society is a survival model in which women stay in the village and men venture out to find food. The bathhouses in Camp 1 are mainly scattered outside, with changing rooms and rest areas inside. The indoor part retains some original natural traces.

Camp 2 Male monarch period Men established social systems in the process of outward exploration.

The status of men and women was reversed, and men had the right to rule. The transparent bath on the second floor indoors symbolizes the higher status of men, and the stepped bath on the outside symbolizes the creation of class.

Camp 3 Transitional period This period mainly represents the period when wars cease, the world returns to a state of peace, the dominance of classes becomes weaker, and men and women are exploring a state of equality and harmony. The function of the sauna is a symbol of calmness.

Camp 4 Modern period In the modern era, men and women already live in a harmonious environment, so bathhouses are all located indoors. Some of the independent baths in the room are separated from the public baths, which is intended to explore the current situation of the gap between men and women.

02| Screw Tree

Predictive Patterns Project time: 2022.08—2023.03 I am concerned that due to the war in Yemen, the land is becoming increasingly barren, making it difficult to develop a normal economic structure, and the national situation is in a state of decline. As an undeveloped island across the sea from Yemen, Socotra can reasonably avoid the threat of war and may become a new refuge for Yemen.

The surface layer of the upper floor of the building is a plant growth garden. These floors cannot be accessed by transportation. People can only reach the top floor by walking.

03| Cohesive Ring

Public Community Project time: 2021.05—2021.08 Affected by the spread of the new coronavirus, strict control of space has severely impacted the service industry where China's disabled people mainly work. Most Chinese people with disabilities are unemployed. This project aims to bring the under-appreciated people with disabilities together in the urban center and build a public community suitable for the employment of people with disabilities.

This has brought people with disabilities back into the limelight and provided them with employment opportunities.

RESEARCH ON SPATIAL ADAPTABILITY OF DISABLED PEOPLE

SITE ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH People with disabilities are always a group that needs close attention from society. The number of disabled people in China is very high.

Due to the huge population base, the number of disabled people in China has reached 85 million. However, due to the general lack of quality and cognition of Chinese people, most of the built space elements for disabled people, such as blind paths, cannot be used normally. This results in most disabled people in China being reluctant to go out, and their travel is highly risky. The arrival of the COVID-19 epidemic has directly attacked traditional employment positions for people with disabilities, such as masseurs, resulting in most people with disabilities being unable to earn income this year. The living situation of people with disabilities is becoming increasingly challenging.

I want to create a public community where the main jobs are for people with disabilities. And it is placed in the city center to let people pay attention to such a group and participate in community activities to strengthen communication between disabled people and ordinary people.

Placing the building in the heart of the city gives it a new focal point. The disabled people, who have always been ignored, will be united by this ring building and become the new protagonists of the city. People will develop a new understanding of people with disabilities.

KEY NODE 1.The transaction window of the coffee shop is only large enough to hand out coffee by hand, taking into account the social fear of the disabled and deaf-mute people who are not confident in their appearance.

2.The stalls of the shared market are placed along the blind path and will not interfere with the walking route of the blind.

3.Workbenches often appear in areas with wide visibility, making it easier for visually impaired and elderly people to find and use them.

4.There are sofa combinations in the lounge and chat room. The condensed modular sofas can indirectly stimulate communication between disabled people and normal people.

04| Tangled

Film Architecture Project time: 2023.09—2023.10 Member: Qiyue Dong/Siyuan Wang/Zhiyi Yao Tutor: Zixin Tang/Youjian Pan This is the research result of an internship workshop group during my senior year. Based on the research on film architecture, we selected a representative film and television clip, analyzed his shooting techniques, and extracted an image keyword. Our keyword is "Tangled", so we found a slope residential area with tangled landform features to shoot our own experimental images. Our images also needed to reflect the character of the tangle. Finally, a house is designed based on the captured images and keywords, with tangled features.

FILM SELECTION AND ANALYSIS The film our group chose was part of the Joker's appearance in Batman: The Dark Knight. This clip tells the story of the joker pretending to be one of the gang members and working with his hired men, dividing into two teams to rob the bank from both the roof and the bank gate. The clip uses two parallel narrative lines in the same time and space. The joker's smiling face has the corners of his mouth raised, which is in sharp contrast with the corners of the mask he is wearing.

The objective perspective reflects the characteristics of the place through its objective constituent conditions.

First of all, we need to understand the overall composition of the place. We built a 3D model of the place based on the map in advance, and planned the route of camera dispatch from the model. After actually arriving at the venue, the three members of the team entered the venue from three different entrances at the same time, and then walked into the venue at the same time in the same way as filming a documentary, walking according to the previously planned lens scheduling route.

During the walking process, three people will continue to meet each other and appear in the pictures taken by each other's mobile phones. We put the shots taken by the three people together through the method of picture splicing, treating the three people as three points, and the three points are different. Stops appear in different boxes, and connecting the three-point paths creates tangled lines.

From a subjective perspective, we reflect the characteristics of the place by placing some characters, relationships and plots.

First of all, we determined the direction of the plot, with two people escaping and chasing each other. The person who is chasing keeps following the footsteps of the person who is running away, and the person who is running away will hide and take detours according to the characteristics of the place. After several rounds of chasing and escaping, the person who is chasing is still able to catch up with the person who is running away based on the route when she leaves the place.

When the fugitives are hiding, the slope characteristics of the site are clearly displayed.

The tangled roads allow the chasing and fleeing people to meet and hide in constant coincidences. We gave the subjective film a sense of storytelling, which made the character of the place very interesting and obvious.

05| Hyperlink Locker Space Installation Project time: 2023.07—2023.08 Women's appearance anxiety in China is becoming more and more serious.

In order to promote a slim figure, the women's clothing market makes the size difference of each clothing smaller and smaller. In order to cater to the clothing market, women's bodies have to be compressed inward. The space installation uses the dressing room as the space carrier , through the threedimensional to two-dimensional spatial shape change to express the process of the female body being forced to compress.

I chose the basic t-shirt styles of Chinese domestic women's clothing brands as samples for the body fitting experiment, and purchased all 6 sizes from S to 3XL. First measure the clothes themselves, the maximum length difference of 6 yards is 3cm, the difference is very small. Then, two girls of different sizes were selected as models to try on the upper body of all sizes to feel the difference between different sizes. Finally, four boys were selected to try on the women's T-shirts in the sample. They will choose the size they usually choose when buying men's clothes to try on.

MODEL EXPERIMENT Frame 1: A rectangular parallelepiped. From the perspective of the fitting room, the cube is the most conventional fitting room space and the initial shape of the three-dimensional space.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

The fabric of the tail is scattered and broken.

The geometrical compression of the frame and the alienation of the mesh link channels constitute such a space device that is constantly twisting and deforming when viewed from any angle. When women are in it and stare at themselves, they will feel oppressed and confused.

PROJECTION INTERACTION Interactive space：Use Touch Designer to make dynamic images of the compressed volume of a girl's suspenders in five spatial states, and project them onto the hanging fabrics in the device for interaction.

"Cavity Wing" Seat design

"The Untouchable Firefly" Lighting installation This is a lighting installation assignment I did when I was studying mechanical principles in my sophomore year. This is a phenomenon through which fireflies no longer appear in cities.

Reflecting on the arrival of industrial society, the popularity of lighting equipment has led to the increasingly rare creatures like fireflies that provided inspiration for the invention of light bulbs.

We seem to have forgotten to protect them in the process of development. The most primitive thing ever. This is a lighting device that goes out when touched. Different from conventional lighting devices, I added a touch-sensing device to the bulb.

When the bulb is glowing, people touch it and it goes out. The simulated human intervention causes The decline of fireflies can trigger people's reflection on biological protection.

"Pinecone Empowerment" Architectural illustration This is a course assignment in the architectural drawing course when I was a freshman in college. I cut a pine cone open, observed its cross section, and imagined what kind of resource load it could carry as a building or urban structure. I assumed that the pine cone There is a heart in the center of the fruit that can provide energy for the entire structure. Then this cross-sectional structure can not only serve as the floor of the building but also as a blood vessel for transmitting energy. This pine cone structure is imagined to be alive and formed into an illustration.

This was a course assignment during my junior year of college in an experimental furniture design course. I chose the direction of seat design and extracted the female pelvic structure as a source of inspiration for body shaping. The intention is to use the form of a chair to create a seemingly fragile chair that cannot hold people, to express the frailty of women during childbirth. But its structure surrounded by thick steel wires is actually able to bear the weight of a person, and is intended to express the greatness of female fertility. Every woman's body has to experience weakness and create new life, and the mother will support her child's life virtually with maternal love.
