Content

Verticle Studio Stage 1 / Forming a group of student to exploring different districts in Hong Kong. Mongkok is the area that I visited for. We start from different perspective to capture any fascinating scenes.

Collage Collage is a combination of various photo.

The element of the collage is envelope. I have captured the wall of alleyway which form a perspective angle. Number of alleyway photos form a plan or elevation of a space for my further development

There are four gateways within the site. It is beneficial for me to design an urban lanscape which combine the favourable factors of the site. A narrow corridor, gateway could be created with the buildings.

Characteristics Concrete is a great sound insulator.

When visitors enter the crafted space, a silent space could be experienced within a busy commercial area.

Concrete is a excellent cooling agent.

Busy traffic and high density of circulation leads to hot temperature in central district. After placing these concrete block, the temperature might cooling down for 1-2 degree.

After mid term critique, the arrangement of module blocks are not well organized.

I have divided it into 2 part which are courtyard space and entrance. Some of the module blocks are stick with building to create a narrow gateway. Visitors may experience the elements from alleyway.
