Welcome Though your business may be faced with a litany of business issues, the firm focuses on small business contract litigation, copyright and trademark litigation, tax litigation, and small business transactional needs. Some of the firm's biggest work includes employee document drafting, arbitration enforcement, breach of contract, and copyright litigation.

Though you may approach the firm with a small business litigation matter, the firm would like to continue services to you or your business through outside counsel to assist in preventing future litigation.

The firm is mainly virtual. Appointments are mainly conducted through videoconference. Documents are submitted electronically. The firm is progressing toward being as environmentally friendly as possible through limited (when required per evidentiary procedure rules) use of tangible documents.

Who is Representing You Dominique Young is licensed to practice in Florida (2011) and Georgia (2021). She is also admitted to practice before the Northern District of Georgia and the United States Tax Court.

The firm's namesake is a graduate of Florida A&M University College of Law (J.D. 2011) and The University of Alabama School of Law (LL.M. 2016). Since undergrad, the attorney's focus has been on the arts and business. She excelled in art and financial courses in undergrad, criminal, evidence, environmental law, legislation, and litigation in law school, and tax, intellectual property, and securities in her masters program. In her professional career, her clients have included large corporations that focused on real property litigation, government organization general counsel work, and ediscovery. Her volunteer work includes VITA, Habitat 4 Humanity, and with various needs of her church.

The attorney favors work within trademark, copyright, and tax litigation.

What the Firm Needs From You First Steps Schedule and attend an initial consultation Complete the intake form Be as detailed as possible. The details that you provide in the intake form allow the attorney to be prepared to provide the best presentation as to your options regarding your legal matter.

Provide any accompanying documents that will assist with discussion during the initial consultation

Upon Representation Agreement Execute the engagement letter, contract for legal services, and statement of client rights and responsibilities.

Remit the availability retainer and legal services retainer via the provided payment links Schedule first client meeting Provide all documents via dropbox link provided by the firm Firm will provide a link to a client portal. All communications after commencement of representation will be sent through the client portal. If needed, a text will be sent from the firm's contact number for immediate concerns.

Most documents that need to be signed can be signed electronically.

Invoicing Policies and Procedures Dominique Young Law, P.C. is a law firm, though it is also a small business.

Our first goal is provide quality legal services to you, though that provision requires payment to provide those legal services. DYLPC has overhead costs and expenses just like your small business and a credit score to maintain as well. The firm seeks to provide quality legal services as efficiently as possible. That being said hourly rates and invoices are fair and appropriate for the matters being handled.

Though some matters will require emergency response, the attorney takes effort to provide options to the client regarding litigation strategy. In most all actions, the client is aware of the legal services provided prior to receiving their invoice every month. Monies that are held in the firm's trust account are not transferred to the firm's operating account until after written approval for the legal services are received from the client.

The firm provides invoices to clients on or around the 21st of every month.

A five day period is provided in which to timely remit payment. Payment may be received through physical check, money order, or cashier's check, electronic check, and debit/credit cards. The firm also provides for payment plans should the need arise. The firm is a cashless establishment.

Peer-to-peer money transfer processing is not accepted, though use of a Cashapp debit card is acceptable.

The firm requests payment of invoices within five days, though the firm understands that life happens. That being said, once an invoice is delinquent 90 days, the matter is referred out to a debt collection agency for payment. The firm wants to work with you regarding payment for legal services. Discussion regarding payment and fees can be discussed during the initial consultation once the attorney has made a proper analysis of the legal needs regarding the matter.

Also, the firm requires that all initial consultations be in-person. This is a requirement and not a suggestion.

Do I have to fill out the intake form and why is it so involved?

The firm urges the completion of the intake form so the attorney can best assist you in the time provided for your legal concern. The information requested is needed in order to assist you best. If there is information that you would prefer not to provide, that information may be omitted from the form. Please note, however, that a privacy policy is included with the form and all employees with the firm sign a confidentiality policy regarding firm matter. Your information is safe.
