2018 hospices de nuits Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Didiers Pinot Noir
The 6-acre vineyard of Les Didiers in the Burgundy region is a monopole of the charitable organization Hospices de Nuits, which dates back to the 13th century. In 1692, the Sun-King Louis Quatorze consolidated the many small hospitals of Nuits into one, thus creating the Hospices de Nuits which still operates today. This vineyard has a grand terroir, premier cru classification, and year after year produces stunning grapes that are auctioned to winemakers around the world to support the charity. The resulting wine from this 2018 vintage has a lovely bright ruby color, notes of wet earth and red petals, and a smooth lush palate.

The 2020 Maison Evenstad Chardonnay is sourced from the highest quality appellation in the Côte Chalonnaise, with fruits coming from a premier cru high-altitude vineyard in the village of Montagny. The terroir, rich in limestone, produced a Chardonnay that is fresh and delicate with notes of kumquat and a subtle hint of sage.
