A very warm welcome to Dollar Academy. I am very pleased that we have been able to work in partnership with the RSPBA Dundee, Perth & Angus branch to bring this contest back for its third year. Piping and Drumming is a large part of the School and the local community, and we are delighted to be able to share this with visiting bands and spectators.
I wish every band and individual competing today the very best of luck. To our spectators and guests, I hope you have a wonderful day of enjoyable music, and all that Dollar has to offer.

On behalf of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Dundee, Perth & Angus Branch, in collaboration with Dollar Academy, we would like to welcome you all to this year’s Branch outdoor contest. We are honoured and privileged to have such fantastic sponsors and we thank every one of you for your support along with the Dollar Academy Senior Management Team & Staff, without you all we would not be able to put on a day like this. Our thanks must also go to our Volunteers, Competitors, Adjudicators and to you the public for coming along and supporting such an event.
Our day not only celebrates Music and Tradition, but also the spirit of culture, belonging and friendships within the Pipe Band world. Have a fabulous day, good luck to all bands competing. It’s the taking part that counts, no matter the results!
