WELCOME TO DYNAMIC MONTHLY! During this holiday season, our pod here at DolFUN would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to each and every one of you. We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community with a passion and commitment to helping shape the minds of the next generation.

I’m personally thankful for the joy that teaching children brings into our lives. Their curiosity, laughter, and boundless energy make each day an adventure. It’s a privilege to be a part of their early years of learning and growth.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

December is a busy month here at DolFUN headquarters! We are expanding rapidly with the new pool opening last July and the gym opening in September. This month we will host some exciting new camps during the Winter Break offering two days of fun and a bit of a break for you parents too. We will also offer Family Practice sessions both in the pool and the gym and most exciting of all-- Santa will be in the house on Sunday Dec 17 with some fun in the gym and Cookies & Cocoa with Santa. Please sign up early as this event is certain to SELL OUT! Early January we will launch Birthday Parties, an Adult FIT Studio and various Children Enrichment programs to possibly include STEM and music.

EDUCATOR SPOTLIGHT

Graduating Turtle Ninja to Bottlenose Ninja; Tucker Olson, Paige Ash-McCright!

We are hiring both Swim & Gym Educators! Do you know someone that loves kids and would be a great fit for the DolFUN POD? We will train the right persons and also as a thank you to you sending them our way we would like to offer you ONE FREE MONTH of Class ($136.16 value) for those hired minimum 90 days.

Alexis Richbart, Gym Educator CPR Certified Alexis joined the DolFUN pod in 2023 with the opening of the gymnastics and ninja programs. She is from New York, and received her Bachelors of Architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In 2020, during the pandemic, Alexis moved to Oregon to find a new environment and to start her dream job as an architectural designer for affordable housing projects in Portland.

She is an avid rock climber, dancer, and soccer player. She played soccer at a collegiate level, coached children’s soccer, taught dance to children and currently volunteers with multiple architecture programs for children. She loves working with children to help them develop skills she did as a child in gymnastics classes and to be able to spend some time in her week in a mode of play and movement.

She brings years of coaching, and teaching children to the mat.

Educator Spotlight A busy mom of two, Sarah joined the DolFUN pod in 2022, after

struggling to find high quality swim lessons for her own kiddos, Alice and Ellie. Previously, Sarah served as a medic with the Army National Guard 141 BSB, completed her degree in Biochemistry and Molecular/ Microbiology at Portland State University, and worked at the Portland V.A. Medical Center laboratory before joining AmeriCorps in 2014. During her AmeriCorps term of service, Sarah worked to create and implement a career and college exploration program for underserved middle and high school students and subsequently spent the next several years expanding that program, eventually coordinating the AmeriCorps program she had served in before taking some time off to be a stay at home mom and fitness instructor with Fit4Mom Gresham-Mt. Hood. While teaching swimming has been a new adventure, Sarah brings years of experience mentoring, coaching, and teaching youth.
