La storia di questa bottega inizia nell’Ottocento con i gioielli in micromosaico: una tecnica che utilizza le ‘teghe’, sottili bacchettine in vetro smaltato ottenute ponendo in uno speciale forno delle piastre di vetro di Murano. Ne nascono orecchini, medaglioni, spille, croci, cornici, quadri, realizzati anche con la tecnica del commesso fiorentino di pietre dure. Una produzione che dal micro contempla anche il macro, soggetti strettamente tradizionali, ma anche nuovi, realizzati con la stessa cura e la stessa sapienza artigianale.
The history of this workshop begins in the 19th century with micromosaic jewellery, a technique that uses ‘teghe’, thin enamelled glass rods obtained by placing sheets of Murano glass in a special kiln. From these are fashioned earrings, medallions, brooches, crosses, frames, ‘paintings’, sometimes incorporating the Florentine technique of ‘commesso’, fine mosaics of pietre dure. A production that ranges from the micro to the macro, from strictly traditional subjects to entirely new ones, all made with the same care and craftsmanship.
