Osiris Temple: Lending a Helping Hand is Essential
Submitted by Noble Jordin T. Chandler, Asst. Rabban Osiris Temple No. 67 Oasis of Melbourne The year 2020 was challenging. It changed how we live, work, and fellowship with one another. Amid a deadly virus that has impacted all of us in some way and a nation that is fractured due to racial injustice — it is imperative that each of us answers the call to help our fellow man. In these heart-wrenching times, we must carry each other’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 tells us.

During this global crisis, the Nobles of Osiris Temple No. 67, led by Illustrious Potentate Dr. Steve E. Primus, and the South Brevard Branch of the NAACP came together to donate over 400 three-layer surgical masks to the essential workers of the Florida Department of Health (Melbourne Clinic). These community organizations understand that a kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal. Therefore, with each new challenge that we face, let us stand together to uplift our communities, and be a beacon of light in a dark world.
We are a small temple, but the footprints that we leave in our community — the hot sands of the Oasis of Melbourne are BIG and BOLD. In other words, WE ARE THE DESERT OF FLORIDA, WE ARE OSIRIS TEMPLE, and above all else, WE ARE COMMUNITY SERVANTS!
