Daughters Convene for Annual Leadership Conference Contributed by Dt. Karen Y. Kirksey, PC Ahmed Court No. 134 Oasis of Tallahassee Desert of Florida The Feb. 6 Desert of Florida Leadership Conference was different from years past-- but it was just as productive. Daughters, led by Imperial Deputy for the Desert Collette Hart Wallace, PC (117) convened virtually via Zoom for a workshop designed to take their leadership skills to the next level. Advisor, Noble Pembrook Burrows PP (69), brought greetings on behalf of HPIP Pierre E. Rutledge, Imperial Deputy of the Desert (149), and wished attendees “a harmonious leadership conference.” The 48th Imperial Commandress Jacqualine Brown Arradondo (22) was in attendance, all 12 DOF Courts were represented, and 147 Daughters participated. Presentations included: “Aspirations for the East” Desert 1st Lt. Commandress Dt. Paula Roberts PC, Ahmed Court No. 134 “The 3 Rs: Recruit, Reclaim, Retain” Desert 2nd Lt. Commandress Dt. Bertha Baker PC, Harram Court No. 96 “Creation” Dt. Lenora Porter PC Imperial Creation Team Malta Court No. 99 “It’s in the Book Part II” (based on Robert’s Rules of Order) Dt. Robin Davis PC, Kazah Court No. 117 Dt. Mechelle Martin PC, Kazah Court No. 117, hosted a lively game of Family Feud. It brought laughs and competitiveness.
