According to Greek philosopher Heraclitus, change is the only constant in life. As the 2019- 2020 closed, we have witnessed the quickening pace of change. The end of the school year signals the completion of a grade, graduation, and the unofficial start of summer. This year was much different. The 2019-2020 school year included virtual learning for students as early as kindergarten and virtual graduations because of COVID-19. Many parents with school-aged children quickly assumed new roles in the educational system as our children attended virtual school. Among the roles included IT support staff preparing students for online school; classroom monitor, keeping students on task; cafeteria worker, preparing meals, and PE coach. As we struggle to define the new normal, we discover the new normal is constant change. We celebrate Saba Temple No. 186 Nobles working on the frontline in education and training, preparing others for the challenges ahead. Nobles exceeded regular duties in their chosen professions to provide aid. They delivered computers
