MCALLEN A major client, South Texas GMC, local GMC dealer handled by IMSC, Melba Gutierrez, had invested $94,170 on KVLY-FM in 2017. After KVLY-FM was restructured, the client decided not to advertise in 2018. Melba Gutierrez and Michael Holderle requested a meeting with the client to discuss options and presented a 360-marketing plan to include all 9 properties. The client has now signed a contract for $167,496 for an overall 78% increase versus Prior Year!

SUCCESS STORIES ORLANDO ABC Fine Wine and Spirits was a general market account handled by a local prominent non-Hispanic agency. Over the years we had established a good relationship with the agency and even presented unique promotional ideas and submitted avails on multiple occasions. We were always turned down due to the way that all agencies value media based on GRP deliveries to establish value. Several months later our Senior IMSC, Kim Mcfadden wanted to call on the client direct since he had a previous working relationship with ABC. At this meeting he was told that they no longer were being handled by the agency that consistently shot us down. The new marketing director was very interested in the Hispanic market and requested a proposal. We designed an integrated promotion that included Radio endorsements, Facebook, a multi-market Pulpo campaign, Broadcast TV and onsite activations.

We were able to close a 6-digit investment with a flight that ran through February 2018. The campaign has done so well that we are negotiating the renewal as we speak.

Orlando also renewed the Florida Department of Health for a $102,000 annual multi-market integrated campaign. In 2017, we ran a Pulpo Display campaign for 8 months for $40,000. This was an awareness campaign promoting a program called “Know your HIV Status” to prevent HIV and encourage testing. Our Pulpo display campaign delivered over 5 million impressions targeting 3 Florida markets, Miami – Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach & Orlando DMAs; markets that we identified as including higher rates of people diagnosed with HIV.

SUPPORTS LAREDO & MCALLEN 121st Washington Birthday Celebration Throughout the month of February our Univision Laredo and FOX South Texas news team covered the events of the 121st Washington Birthday Celebration.

On Saturday, Feb 17 our news team participated in Anheuser-Busch Washington’s Birthday Parade.

We were able to broadcast the parade live to the community on Univision and Noticias Univision Laredo Facebook Live.

SUPPORTS CORPUS CHRISTI On February 1st, Crockette Elementary in Corpus Christi, Texas held their annual Spelling Bee. Ruth Mora, Traffic Coordinator was asked to represent Entravision KOROTV and to be one of the judges for the event. It was the first time the resoults featured 3 way ties between one 3rd grader and two 5th graders!

PULPO TALKS This month we launched #PULPOTALKS, an initiative for Pulpo with the intention of reinforcing the constant communication of ongoing processes, improvements and key projects that are being carried out in each area. The main idea is to dedicate 30/40 minutes to share main goals, KPI’s or relevant plans of different areas on a monthly basis. Being all involved in other department’s needs and goals that may have an impact on ours is key for being a successful and aligned team.
