The paramount concern for construction at an active healthcare facility is the health and safety of patients, visitors, staff, and workers throughout construction. Understanding and evaluating the Infection Control and Interim Life Safety concerns should be an integral part of the preconstruction and construction phases of the project. Evaluating the impacted areas, risks, and control measures to implement will be an ongoing process throughout each project and early involvement of the infection control practitioner will be paramount to success.
Understanding the daily operations of the facilities, the sensitive nature of each department, and the ICRA policies set forth by the facility, are key to successfully implementing a project plan. Turner’s highly-experienced and knowledgeable team has over 30 years of combined experiencing working in and renovating active healthcare facilities.
