Galil Mountain was established as a joint venture in 2000 between world-renowned Golan Heights Winery and KibbutzYiron.

Galil Mountain cultivates six vineyards with varying topography and climate conditions that all contribute to high-quality winemaking. Planted at elevations up to 2,800 feet, the vines enjoy warm summer days and cool nights, and snow and frost in winter. Soils vary from limestone to flint, terra rossa and basalt. Like Golan Heights Winery, the vineyards of Galil Mountain Winery were among the first to receive accredited sustainable certification underthe rigorous and renowned LODI RULES program.

THE WINE

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the higher elevations of the Upper Galilee. Galil Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine with concentrated berry and plum notes layered with a hint of herbs. Pair with meat dishes such as hamburgers, leg of lamb and grilled steak.

THE WINE

Galil Mountain Merlot displays inviting aromas of wild berry and ripe plum with a hint of tobacco, making for a pleasant finish. This medium-to-full-bodied wine aged in stainless steel tanks for six months to preserve its fruity character. Pairwith dishes such as hamburgers, quality cuts of meat, andvarious chicken dishes.

Medium to full-bodied with a long finish, this expressive wine spends six months in stainless steel tanks to preserve a fruity character. A blend of Syrah, Sangiovese and Grenache, Galil Mountain Rosé has a crisp fruit-forward profile. Lively and dry, perfect for everyday drinking with inviting aromas of fresh strawberry, rose petals, citrus fruit and spices. GalilAlon combines Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and PetitVerdot to create a powerful red blendwith aromas of ripe berries, oak and tobacco.Thiswine sees full malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, followed byaging for12 months in French oak barrels. THE WINE

Gail Mountain’s flagshipwine,Yiron, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc that showcases the special characterof UpperGalilee. Complex fruit aromas of berries, cherries and plum jam minglewithvanilla, clove and toasted oak unique to this singularblend.Aged for16 months in French oak barrels, thiswell-balanced, full-bodiedwine has a long, lingering finish. Pairwith grilled steak, roastedvenison orbeef pot roast.
