Where Color Lives
Color lives between darkness and light, it's origins stemming from the elements — water, air, fire and earth. Over time, color evolved with the development of pigments from natural elements, including minerals, plants and insects. These early expressions inspired Origin of Color, a collection of carpet tiles that brings history to life.
Choose from three styles rooted in the history of color: Symbolic, Convey, and Expression.

CONVEY uses organic tones to evoke a mood. Each neutral has the ability to transform your space with calming warmth and graphic statements. Available in 9x36 tile in 10 colors.

Red ochre, the most time-honored tone, is used in textiles and even as a natural sunscreen.
Cochineal is used in lipstick and as a natural food coloring.
Indigo is what gives denim its cool blue hue.

Origin of Color carpet tile styles are Living Building Challenge (LBC) Red List Approved. Proprietary ingredients are not disclosed on the Declare label; however, all raw materials have been third-party confirmed as being compliant with LBC Red List.

At the end of its useful life, we'll reclaim and recycle Origin of Color carpet tile styles to make more EcoWorx® carpet products through our Environmental Guarantee. Since 2006, Shaw has reclaimed and recycled nearly 1 billion pounds of post-consumer carpet reducing landfill waste.
