The market has been cooling over time and prices plateaued for a while. Despite the consistent decrease in MAI, we’re in the Seller’s zone. Watch for changes in MAI. If the MAI resumes its climb, prices will likely follow suit. If the MAI drops consistently or falls into the Buyer’s zone, watch for downward pressure on prices. Median List Price

About Our School

BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES

·We have a full time counselor who creates and works with small peer groups to develop and hone social skills including self advocacy.

· A school wide focus for this year is going to center around Collaborative Problem Solving and Trauma Informed Practices. A number of our staff has taken training in CPS and Trauma Informed Care.

· Positive Behavior Intervention and Support. The PBIS program is already established at YCIS. Our PBIS program is an extension of our MTSS program as it relates to positive school environment. Referral data is tracked and analyzed to develop appropriate interventions as necessary. We have established a process for reporting bullying type of behavior and will follow up with the reports in a prompt and expedient manner.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

· We have developed a quality partnership over the years with the organization that serves our community for youth sports (Yamhill Carlton Together Cares). We offer facility usage and transportation for youth volleyball, basketball, football and track and field.

· We have a successful Battle of the Books program in grade 4-6.

· We offer programs of study in STEM, theatre and arts, where students have the opportunity to perform or share their work outside the classroom.

· We take part annually in the State Science Fair. We have had multiple students in the past that have qualified at the state level.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT

· We will continually strive to engage in developing quality engagement practices with our parents and community. We will host a Back to School Night in the Fall. There will be weekly newsletters sent home to all parents electronically as well as updates on social media. We will host Parent Teacher Conferences in November.

· There is a Parent/Teacher Support group at YCIS that we will continue to develop and use to provide our students and teachers with enhanced learning opportunities. We communicate with parents via Parent Square, Smore, and through various social media platforms.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

· Over the years we have developed valuable relationships with our community members, particularly those that work in the fields of agriculture and manufacturing. These relationships have led to opportunities for our students to gain hands on experience in these areas.

· We will look to add more community engagement opportunities for our families including: School supply drop off, Back to School Night, Bingo Night and other seasonal activities aimed at bringing students and families into our building.

·Our PTO has been valuable at planning and organizing such events including Bingo Night and we will collaborate with them to develop more community engagement seasonal activities.

Safe & Welcoming Environment

At YCES we strive to ensure that all students and their parents feel welcome by focusing on establishing a school family. Teachers engage with students and their families for student growth and success, building meaningful relationships through that partnership. We utilize the PAX Good Behavior Game to promote social emotional growth and behavioral readiness both in and out of the classroom throughout the school day.

About Our School

BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES

A safe and positive school climate is established through clear and consistent school wide expectations that are taught to students and continuously reinforced. At YCES we utilize PAX Good Behavior Game to establish and support our safe learning environment. PAX Good Behavior Game is an evidence based program that builds self-regulation, and pro-social behaviors in students. We also utilize a select group of fourth grade students to participate in our PAX Positive Partners program. These students support others throughout the day and during recess to show kindness and to help others work through minor problems.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT

Parents play an important role as a part of their child’s learning team. Not only do we partner with parents for student success, but we also seek to keep parents informed and engaged with the activities of the school. This is accomplished through monthly PTO meetings, updates through social media, annual open house, and informational nights.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our school closely partners with local organizations to provide extracurricular opportunities for students. In addition, many of our students participate in various community activities, and the school serves as a hub for a number of local events, such as the annual Winter Craft Fair. YCES also hosts community outreach events in which we provide a fun activity for community members, such as bingo or a movie. We have a great partnership with local agencies, and they attend many of our events to connect with students, parents, and staff. In addition, we fundraise throughout the year for local families in need, and involve the community in our annual Walk-A-Thon.
