Corporate Social Responsibility & Avery Dennison Foundation Report

In 2025, Avery Dennison proudly celebrated its 90th anniversary, honoring the inventive spirit and values of our founder, Stan Avery.

While Stan is recognized for creating the world’s first self-adhesive label in 1935, his true legacy is the belief that business success should be tied to social impact. Stan often said he founded the company during the Great Depression with the goal of providing opportunities and jobs to help those in need. Over the years, Stan's commitment to corporate social responsibility became embedded in the company culture, formalized with the establishment of the company's Foundation in 1977.

Today, that enduring spirit of generosity thrives across our 35,000 global employees and through the Avery Dennison Foundation. Together with our partners, we continue Stan's legacy, investing our time and resources to uplift communities and accelerate a more just and sustainable world. This report reflects our collective passion and how, together, we are making possible a brighter future.
